I think it is stupid that we are stuck with headlights that can't live their full potential.

I use mine about 75% of the time, and they are superb. There are occasions I revert to controlling them myself (mainly on motorways) because, lorries particularly, have a high cab and due to the central reservation blotting out their oncoming headlights to me - which means the adaptive lights don’t dip/do their thing and I can see the drivers cab being illuminated by my beams, so I switch them manually to dip. Other than that they work brilliantly.

How do folks feel bout these in Canada. I’ve made some semi’s I was following unhappy and been flashed by a couple oncoming motorists. It’s enough that I’m too self conscious about em to leave them on automatic the whole time.

No glare high beams are illegal, but carrying a loaded gun in public is legal!? What a strange country!

I use mine all the time. I had them coded on last July and never drive at night without the feature being enabled. I've never been flashed by any other driver.

Just this past weekend they enabled me to see deer I probably wouldn't have with normal headlights. They were on the side of the road and the high beam right light was pointed directly at them. I slowed down and was prepared for them to enter the roadway.

Such is the bizarre nature of the laws here in the good ol' US of A.

Ironically, in the UK I found that traditional headlights didn't project far enough out. Even with the headlamp adjusted to its furthest projected setting, the beam didn't project very far in your standard vehicle. Probably because the roads are so narrow in a lot of single lane/b roads that you can easily dazzle oncoming traffic. ADB is a must in the UK imo.
