One other thing - I would strongly advise you to drop the downpayment. You are only pre-paying the lease with a downpayment, it saves you nothing. In fact, all of your downpayment will be lost if the worst happens and your car is totalled or lost in any other way.
You should be looking for no worse than this: https://leasehackr.com/calculator?ma...es=10000&msd=0 When I was working a deal on my M40i I reached out to all the dealers in your area and I was offered 8% off MSRP plus all incentives at the base money factor. That was without really working too hard on it, and just over email from the Seattle area! No doubt your dealer allowed you to pre-order the car before agreeing on the numbers as you would be much more excited once you had seen it in person. Don't fall for it. I'm sure others will chime in from your own area but you can probably even do a good deal better than the link above, which is already much better than your current offer. 2019 X3M40i Lease
Quote:
Thanks XGoober, I like to actually have a bit of skin in the game despite the risk with leases to save on the interest on monthly payments.. Zero down adds up to almost $900 interest during the cars life baked into the monthly payments Everyone has their preferences I guess. She came back to me with $683 per month w/ $7500 drive off.. Lol. Only getting about 7% off MSRP there. I'm seeing Autonation prices over a little over 9%.. She of course knows this is the car I want so she's not budging. I'm going to go back to them with this: leasehackr.com/calculator?make=BMW&msrp=66970&sales_price=60970&m onths=36&mf=.00177&dp=0&doc_fee=80&acq_fee=925&tax ed_inc=1750&untaxed_inc=0&rebate=0&resP=59®_fee =697&sales_tax=9&memo=&monthlyTax_radio=true&miles =10000&msd=0 9% off MSRP .. I'm also going to do the BMWCCA rebate for $500 after, so it's not so bad. 7.7 Year lease hacker score. I'm sure I could sneak up to 8 but that would probably be for a model that's been sitting for a while with weird features from another dealer. Thoughts? |

9% off MSRP is not bad, although I believe others in your area have done better. The missing link here is the incentives. If the available $1750 incentives would be baked into that 9% then you are really only getting less than 6.5% which is not good at all.
If you can get 9% off MSRP plus incentives at the base money factor then I would consider that acceptable, but by no means the best you could likely get with more legwork. You are in one of the best areas of the country for negotiating BMW deals due to the high density of dealerships. Unless you are in a rush to get the car, or are just trying to talk yourself into paying more than you need to, then you either need to play hardball with your current dealer or start working with others. You are also coming into the last two days of the month so you are in a great position to get the numbers moving the right way. BTW, nothing motivates a dealer to drop their price more than the knowledge that you are shopping around. If I were in your shoes I would send a simple message to your current dealer saying that they are asking a lot more than others in the area and you will have to get back to them. If you would like to PM me the dealer you are working with, I can check to see if I had a good offer from them during my own price hunt recently. I can also let you know where I got the best offer remotely, which is still much better than you have in hand right now. They think they have you over a barrel because the car is exactly the spec you wanted. The truth is you can easily order another elsewhere and save a bundle with a little patience. |

For whatever reason, the leasehackr links are not giving me all the details when I click on them. The final few fields just populate with some defaults. Anyway, after manually filling them in I see a 7.4. |

MSRP: 69170
Discount: 2970 Rebate: 1000 Sell Price: 65200 Doc Fee: 299 Tax: 2819.95 Non-Tax Fees: 1224 Total: 69542.95 Lease payment for 36/12 is $1111 with 0 down. I can't help but feel that I'm closer to an M5 payment than I am to what I expected of a M40i. This is what they considered a "fair and take it or leave it" price for A) someone that has never had previous business with BMW B) "we are a network of 3 dealerships and we purchase all our cars so we have no reason to sell at anything less than what we want" I didn't even want to bother to ask what MF or these Non-Tax Fees are..Dealership must like collecting cars like a hobby. |

2019 X3 M40i picked up today
In Los Angeles area
2019 X3 M40i / Sapphire Black MSRP: $66970 Sale price: $6100 Rebates: $1250 loyalty / $500 Lease Cash $644 per month $7500 drive off Found more aggressive deals, upwards of 10.5% off MSRP plus rebates, however this was the exact build I wanted so didn't want to mess around spending more hours of precious time to save another thousand dollars. This price worked for me. I also like throwing down a bit of cash on my leases to get the monthly down and save on Interest against popular opinion. XGoober alerted me about the ventilated seats I ordered on my build not being comparable to the regular seats due to the bolsters not being adjustable. I was initially SUPER SUPER bummed out about this!! I ended up test driving the car before hand to try them out and yes they are absolutely not as supportive as the regular seats, but I actually ended up really liking them since I'm a bigger dude 6'4" 250lb.. I've had the sport seats before, and this was definitely more comfortable having a bigger frame. Contrary to what I've read elsewhere here I can absolutely notice the difference with the ventilated seats keeping you cool as well. Could absolutely feel them working through jeans and hoodie. I do however think BMW is ridiculous allowing non adjustable bolsters to be placed in an M tuned car regardless of me actually liking them. Great car all around, and very very fun to drive. One thing I would change with my build after owning it for a day, is to not get the executive package. Gesture control is a total joke 😂 Could have definitely saved some cash there. 🤦🏼*♂️ |

I believe this month's lease incentive has increased to $1000. That is according to the guys over at Edmunds. I hope they're right. I'm about to take delivery very soon :-)

I found the best thread from Leasehacker for monthly BMW financial rates. Knowing the current rebates, MF and residual is your best negotiating tool. https://forum.leasehackr.com/t/bmw-n...019/33373/1259

Not sure if it changes based on zip, but in 98008 the base MF is .00177 for April.
Also - the OP has not been updated to reflect the correct lease incentives. Lease incentive is $1000 (not $500 per OP) for April Loyalty incentive is $1250. |

New to the forum...wasn’t expecting to join until a few weeks later as I was mostly browsing as we were looking at the X3. Ended up buying one today. Think I got a heck of deal, so here you go. My first BMW as well.
M40i w/ executive, hardon karman, driver assistance, front and rear heated seats, premium, phytonic blue-oyster. MSRP - $63,520 Discount was $10,520 including all incentives. Total, $53,000 before TTL and $299 doc fee. Pretty much 16% if you take the doc fee into consideration. From reading previous posts I’m pretty happy. |

We financed as I expect to exceed most mileage limits for leases plus this thing is a blast to drive so I plan to keep it for the long term.
I’m still stoked every time I drive it and can’t get over the deal we got. The M40i wasn’t even on our list of cars to look at due to the price. Never thought I could get $10k off. Our first choice was the Volvo XC60 and we also looked at the RDX, GLC 300, and Q5. At the price we got the X3 made sense. |
