Is your creaking constant - mine seems to get worse the more the car is driven, like it needs to warm up after 15 or 20 minutes or so and then it starts creaking properly. Also worse as I drive around corners, drive into driveways etc. Unfortunately not going away...

Matt, go see Adam at Advan. He will sort it out i'm sure.

Following yesterday's post, I'm probably going to lift the rear slightly on mine.

r33_RGSport any suggestions I should make to my shop to get this rake set at 6mm as you have recommended?

Uhm, you'll need to measure it or ask the installer.
They should have a note or at least remember what's your setting.

Can you please advise what the thread count should be (that yours is set to), and we will just match that on our end.

IIRC, you set yours to a 1" drop, which is what I was aiming for also. I only need to fix the rake. Thanks!

R33.... do you see any future development from MSS for aftermarket struts to achieve even better performance and ride quality especially for people that are on higher mileage and would like to upgrade their oem struts?

Doubt it.
I rarely seen aftermarket strut with EDC other than OE replacement made by Bilstein, which most European car company uses to make their strut.

Guys, how are you still liking your MSS springs?

Looking for a more comfortable ride but zero drop... ride is currently unbearable for me.

I thought the OEM struts were made by Sachs? At least on the F80 they were.

What I was trying to say. An aftermarket company that offer EDC damper replacement, so far I only seen Bilstein offering that.

Still liking them here. Maybe a 1/4" drop on mine. Improved the ride to the point that I don't notice it anymore, which was the goal.

Drove 4 hours yesterday, mostly smooth highway but some poorly paved sections. Even with 20 inch AS tires, I noticed the ride.

I'm looking forward to MSS so I don't notice it anymore too.

Only a couple hundred miles with then so far, but love them. Haven't really done a home depot run with her yet, so no clue if that will be a issue. The ride does feel better to me, and she looks amazing.

1" drop on the MSS springs while maintaining the 15mm stock rake. Loving it still as a DD on this horrible Maryland asphalt. Sport plus is still enough on a smooth on ramp, and comfort tames the daily cracks without resorting to total boat slop.

Given all the mixed feedback on the MSS install, I went a different route and swapped out my Conti’s for the Scorpion AS 265/40R21 front and 295/35R21 rear. Not only looks better but drives like a different car. I legitimately thought one of the especially bad roads that I drive every day had been repaved. It’s a huge improvement. Would highly recommend.

Dropping the car too much on MSS completely removes any comfort benefit I feel.

I'm going to get my setup dialled in exactly as Ben's (RG Sport) and see if that helps.

Right now at what I believe is over 1" drop, while I have no issues, it's as firm as stock.

I've got my tires down to about 33 PSI front and back.

Has anybody DIY'd these springs? installation costs are so high for these. I've did my e92 and F80 M3 spring swaps with no issues..... actually pretty easy to do on those. Not sure how much harder the X3M springs would be to do. Maybe tougher with just jacks and Jack stands since X3M is so much higher off the ground?

Picked the car up earlier after having the shop copy Ben's exact settings. They had dropped my car far too low first time around.

I can comfortably say, MMS, at a reasonable 1" drop (1.25" after settling), rides better than the standard suspension on the X3M Competition.

The ride is firm but very compliant. Zero crashing or bump stop issues (not that I had bump stop issues before at the lower height).

Thank you Ben r33_RGSport for assisting me, even though I didn't buy the kit from you. Much appreciated.

I'll get some new photos.
