My dealer in MA said MSS springs may void the warranty so he'd avoid it. I'd love to get the MSS on my X3M (non-comp) for the pothole bumpy roads around here.
Go to different dealer.

I am back.
All refreshed, but already got beaten up on first day back to work.

It sounds like you installed some springs and the customer now blames you for transmission failure

just got mine installed, i opted to keep the ride stock height for maximum comfort. the car ended up looking about half an inch lower than stock, also are the bottom springs supposed to be that compressed? i felt like i bottomed out today while i was driving

looking into the issue, i found the shop i took it in to did not follow the MSS instructions. MSS instructions require you to install the rear springs first, because you need to use the OEM bumpstops (after replacing the rear with the MSS provided bumpstops) for the front springs.

Ugh.
Shop like that shouldn't be in business.
Ruining good product reputation just because they are lazy to read.
And based on what I can tell from your adjuster length, you are pretty low, not even close to stock height.

Thanks...this is what I received back after I had mine installed this week. I am not as familiar with the parts, but could I have the same issue with installation? Mine also settling much lower than expected (was supposed to be 1/4" of a drop, more like 1"+) and is making clunking noises when turning at low speeds and has bumped. I'm taking it back in this week to have them checked and try stock height.
Your installer did the same thing.
Front bump stop didn't get changed per instruction and dust cover didn't get re-used.

wow, this is terrible. That's why I made sure my shop takes Ben's installation recommendations - to avoid crap like this.

Alex - Where did you have your MSS kit installed. I live in WPB and have used MotorHaus in the past for other BMWs I’ve owned. They are super knowledgeable and meticulous, but this install sounds like it’s a bit nuanced. Where do you recommend in this area?

I get all my work done locally at Extreme Performance (https://www.extremeperformance.biz/) in Palm City. However, you can also ask John at Eurowerks Automotive in Boca to install it. I know they have installed at least one set. They are extremely good.

Potentially the same problem in Australia. Just had mine installed and the back seems to be sitting very low. Though the workshop talked to the importer through the install and are saying they are sure they did it correctly. Is there an obvious tell as to whether there is a problem with the install?

Or another way to ask the question - what problems are you going to run into if the rear OEM bump stop was not swapped through to the front, during the install, i.e. the front was done first and then the rears?

Eurowerks did my MSS install and at least one other. They do really nice work! Ask for Jared or John.

matt9999 who did your install?

I'm just about to order these from RollingStock in Sydney.

Sounds like instructions must be followed carefully.

Are many of you running 15mm spacers with a mild drop?

Keen to see if 15mm is too much or whether 12mm makes more sense.
