Stop release

I would be asking BMW to supply a loan vehicle (Volvo did when they had supply issues with the XC40), and the RIS for inconvenience, and anything else you fancy as the days drag on....

OK I have an update, this just gets weirder, the dealer called me and said they have a fix for my car and are in the process of implementing this fix.

So she has now told me that I will be able to pick up on Saturday but they will confirm once it is all completed and they can release it...

I'm not holding my breathe though until I get that call that all is ok.

This attached doesn’t say the x3m or x4m, this is only the v8 models for the wiring harness problem

250 mile trip on the way back so a good way to get that engine warmed up and running towards that RIS

Just had a call, there is a software patch here, they can release the car but the actually recall is being made available next week but the cars can be collected and bought back presumably at the RIS for the actual recall !!!!

Spoke to the business manager at the dealer. He had no idea or information relating to the issue and is going speaking to service and other depts to understand what is going on.

Let's see if we get all get a consistent message but really not expecting one....

on the upside they have until end of the month to fix for me, but if it isn't done and as per my call to BMWFS and the dealer they need to build a satisfactory resolution as I'm paying for the car I haven't received or I will simply reject the car.

Has to be said I hope it doesn't come to that but not willing to be messed around.

From the looks of things they have the software patch for the F97/8 from what has been posted, the V8 recall/stop sale has nothing to do with our cars.

I understand the other recall relates to the V8s.

However until we all get a consistent message I am counting on nothing as thus far comms have been pretty appalling.

Did some random reading of documents again and my car was registered on the 2nd December it turns out. Could this be why my dealer has no issue with a monday release?

He didn't call me back so no issues, said he'd ring me back if my car was included on the stop!
