New to Site, New to BMW

Hello, recently bought a 2016 X3 Xdrive35i from a used luxury car dealer. 48k miles, mineral white with Nevada leather. Several packages (driver assist, driver assist plus, premium, cold weather). Nav system option included. Non M, non Xline. Had it checked out by indie BMW shop near me. All good, a little wear on suspension bushings. All required maintenance done at a BMW dealer in upstate NY. I said screw the extended warranty, I'm starting a "if sh*t goes wrong" fund. Will do better than standard maintenance schedules. I went in to buying the car knowing I would give up outstanding reliability, from my 2010 Acura RDX (2.3L turbo), for performance. If something happens, oh well, that's what the fund is for.

The handling is great and the N55 3L turbo is smooth and powerful. Mrs rt-man has a '10 Cadillac SRX with 2.8T (Saab engine), high-end handling package. The Caddy is a luxury vehicle with sporting pretensions. The BMW is a sports tourer with luxury appointments. She likes the Bimmer better

Think so. Its my DD, got a few things I'm thinking of (cold air intake, gotta change the coding to make the door locks pop open when I shut off the car...or shift to Park).

I am an old muscle car fan and owner, so I was happy to see I could get a large motor (relatively) in this package. A colleague had a '14 or '15 X1 with the N55 and he said it accelerated like a bat outta hell. Now I know the X3 is pulling probably another 300-400lbs, but its still impressive.

And why this one?

- I required the N55 engine
- Mrs required driver assist and driver assist plus and cold weather pkg
- I have had 4 black vehicles in a row and I wanted a different color. In the used car market search, this one came up near me. Others were in NJ or WI.

HK sound system is very nice , seats are comfortable without being spectacular. Fun when I put the transmission into manual shift and Sport mode
