After much waiting, my BSM X3MC has finally arrived! It's being prepped for pick up tomorrow afternoon , but I was able to take some pics of my new baby today! (my CA sent me the two with the wrappings on). Unfortunately I got the Contis, but I see it as an excuse to get better tires as soon as the RIS is completed hehe!

Although I did not win the tire lotto, it seems that my March allocation was just in time to get the 360 cam, which was one of the items that my CA said would be missing due to the chip shortage. I won't know for certain until tomorrow but it looks like none of my options got cancelled!

Just want to thank everyone on the forum for your posts (yes, even all of the mod threads that are making my wallet hurt)... they helped me in making my decision to get one of these amazing beasts!

If any Vancouver owners want to meet up for coffee sometime, send me a PM!

Nice to see another X3MC roam the Vancouver streets! It is a very rare sight in here and you see a lot more X5MC/X6MC's.

Seems that you also picked up yours from Brian Jessel. I am in Metrotown, just up the hill. Enjoy your new car.

Donnington was my first color choice but they dropped it off the standard list by the time I got around to ordering. I've seen more 1Ms than X3Ms/X4Ms. Should plan for a rally/photoshoot in the summer!

Nice that you also ordered it with the Laserlights! I also got Conti's when I picked my X4MC LCI up, not too many get lucky and get the Michelin PS4S. But generally the ride hasn't been too bad however.

Thanks! Glad to finally be joining the party! The X3MC I test drove had Contis and it was raining that day. I found the LCI suspension to be more compliant than my 1M even in Sport stiffness. Michelins will be going on when the Contis wear out!

Congrats!! How do we find out what's missing from our cars due to shortages? Are you allowed to back out if it's not the original build or basically out of luck?

You would know at time of ordering what the restrictions would be on your car. When I was ordering in Feb, my CA gave me the heads up that most likely the 360 cam would not be there (see the last item in the restrictions list photo in the thread above), but I apparently lucked out and my build has the 360. If your car arrives without all of the options you and the dealership agreed to then you should be able to back out. My CA mentioned that, in the latest restrictions list, the panoramic roof may not be available. Your CA should be able to provide you with the current list of the restrictions. I can probably get the latest Canadian list if that is helpful to anyone but it may or may not be the same as the US/UK restrictions.

for anyone wondering, I found the suspension in sport mode to be perfectly fine for my taste, keeping in mind I have very limited seat time so far. my 1M had a stiff suspension and the X3MC sport mode is roughly equivalent, although I can definitely feel the added weight of the X3MC. Even sport+ wasn't horrible for me, but YMMV. I have not driven the pre-LCI so I cannot say how much (if any) difference there is between pre-LCI and LCI suspension.

discovered one item that was omitted on my build... I was looking in the menu to disable gesture control and it wasn't there hehe

It came with the M Enhanced Package. Unfortunately in Canada we can't spec the strut as a standalone option.

Just as a quick tidbit what the Canadian M Enhanced Package is (it has changed compared to Pre-LCI where it was only on the Non-Comp):

- Carbon Fibre Strut Bar
- Carbon Fibre Mirror Caps
- M Driver's Package (Speed Limiter at 177mph / 285 kph and M Training course for Thermal or South Carolina)
- Carbon Fibre Rear Spoilar (X4MC Only)

Pretty much a fancy name for Carbon Fibre package with the speed limiter removed.

Did yours come with the CF Mirror caps or were they removed due to the shortage (which I've seen some deleted as a result)? Just a tad hard to see in the shots!

I got the CF caps. Wasn't aware there was a shortage! I know you can delete them if you don't want them and they take off $400.
