Anyone tuned with Ecutek? Most on here, including myself are tuned with Bootmod3, or MHD. I’m considering switching to Ecutek, and would like to know if anyone has their hardware, and a custom tune? Any info would be appreciated. Yes, I know the G80/82 platform is crawling with tune threads, but I’m more interested in this F97 platform since it’s what I’ve got.

I have a MP tune and was contemplating going with Ecutek. I read up quite a bit on all the tunes, including Ecutek. Unfortunately the main person doing it is charging quite a bit for the complete setup. If your looking to push for maximum performance of a couple of tenths and couple of mph faster, then Ecutek is the fastest at the moment (keep in mind the limit that the stock turbos are being pushed to get there also). Could lead to long term problems). For the cost of over $4000 to get into Ecutek you have to weigh if thats within reason for you.

Yeah, I’m a stage one E30 OTS map currently… it’s plenty fast, I’m just trying to decide if I want the ability to have offline phone flash for different maps, vs hooking up a laptop and switching maps. I’m told there might be anti lag, as well as potentially boost by gear with Ecutek as well. I appreciate your reply.

If you are going Ecutek with flex fuel, you will not need to switch maps at all. I know boost by gear and anti lag are options on Ecutek for the GTR are others. Have not read that it is available on this platform. What OTS map are you using? If Bootmod, why not use there bluetooth option?

I’m told I have the option to use an “offline” feature with the Bootmod3 but I can’t seem to figure out how to utilize it. I have an iPhone, and with the newest updates it won’t allow me to switch maps. Still working on figuring it all out. Currently I’m running an OTS map, but I’m obviously wanting to get a custom E50 map, so that’s why I’m exploring my options with hardware.

What I was told on the Ecutek was that the anti lag, and boost by gear was available, just not fine tuned so they haven’t fully released it on the F97 as of yet. But it’s up and running on the G80/82 chassis though.

Visconti is tuning these via Ecutek, one of his customers holds the 1/4 mile record at 10.2. Don't see why you would need antilag or boost by gear with stock turbos though.

I appreciate your info regarding Visconti… I’ve reached out to Marshall to discuss tuning my car. I don’t necessarily need boost by gear, or anti lag, just stating the options available with the Ecutek vs other tuning software that I’m aware of.
