I'm waiting too! My guess from reading other threads the X3 M is a 2020 model and it wouldn't even start production until August 2019. They have a bunch of 2019 introductions the 3er, X5, X7 and Z4.

Production starts in March of 19

I know, but in contact with mine today he had no information. He was actually surprised that this would be true given how far out production is, in fact it hasn't even been officially announced.

I understand that, but my CA would be considered an enthusiast and has been in the business for a long time. It's possible he is out of the loop on this, but I highly doubt it. Would just like confirmation from Matt regarding this. I've sent him a PM as well as replied here but heard nothing back yet. Hoping he can clear things up and provide details.

2018 X3 M40i did not come with the M-Sport steering wheel. Not until 2019MY were they equipped "correctly" from the factory.

I'm a current M2 owner and considering an X3M if me and my girlfriend were to move out of the city (Chicago) and need a 2nd, more practical, vehicle...

1) General Question: Are deposits refundable on these? Like if I put a deposit down and end up staying in the city and not needing an SUV, can I get my $ back?
2) Is it possible to get pre-ordered models (such as the X3M, or other M cars) below MSRP or is it pretty much a given that if you're going to pre order a car that you're gonna pay full price?
3) Would it be fair to assume that the X3M will hold its value better than an X3 m40i?

I was told pre-orders will likely go for MSRP and above for awhile but will have incentives after a few months of hitting the lots.

Residuals on M cars according Sales Advisor here is roughly 57% (you can verify by checking through this forum on other M models which are about that amount)

I know in California deposits are refundable by law they can't hold your money here. Not sure about your state.

For non-ZCP. Add another $4-5k for ZCP would be my guess. I think the X3M will price similarly to F80 M3.
