I am hoping at least 460 HP 450 torque, BMW rated, meaning it will actually be around 500 HP on dyno and about equal with GLC63 and Stelvio Quad, plus should be lighter than both of them and handle better.
I would expect about a 0.5 second 0-60 difference from the M40i, so maybe 3.9 on the X3M compared to 4.4 of the M40i, real difference will be 0-100, 1/4 mile, and track times.
That would be perfect 0-60 3.9s or better, but exactly the important will be the 1/2 mile, 0-100 and Nurburgring times.

I am hoping for
0-60: 3.8-3.9s and CP 3.5-3.7s
1/4 mile: 12.0-12.1 and CP 11.7-11.8

Palbay definitely appreciate the SPY Pics

I would put money on X3M starting at $70k. X3 M40i doesn't compare to 340i. Brand new vs dated car and lots of things different between them including power.
I'm not sure what you are asking.

M5 is 102,600
X5M is 101,700

M3 is 66,500
X3M ... ?

I sorted it out... it seems like your reply was more for Sam S and in support of my original comment.

not in the 5 series.. but we shall see with the 3 apparently..

@Mako suggests 70K... and my comment was that I expect the X3M to start right around the price of the M3.

Agree. It needs the X5M fender(wheel well) flares bad. It does not look like a M, way too narrow. It should look wider than a regular M40i.

First thing I thought. M flares required.

Nice scoop Palbay

Will be surprised if it is released base power at less than 480 HP. Too much going on in this high-end performance subset right now, with multiple offerings coming down the pike. Granted some will cost 2-3x what this will, but the power offering will be key to how it is perceived. And 0-60 will be down to 3.7s at least for it to hit the blocks running, and that is attainable with such HP and the X3's construct.

Not concerned about the exterior right now as this surely is just a working rendition for getting the components right, as many have suggested.

BMW understands the importance of this SUV/SAV model. They did a great job with the G01 X3 M40i based on all accounts of many who own this, and doubt they'll let the X3 M be anything less than stellar when released.

There is always a balance between price and hp.
at 500HP, BMW will price this starting at $70K for X3M and $75K for X4M (before options), well I am out at that price range. Just bought an M3 and the baseline for it is $66500 (that's after the latest 2018 price increase, since release probably a good 4-5 times price increases on M3).

To me it'll be around 450-460hp at launch, the comp-package may push it to 475. then LCI at 3-years down the road it may come up with CS/CSL version at 500HP.

But we'll wait and see.
