Fuse 218 if memory serves correctly.

I was using a Pixel 6 (Android) with OBDLink LX. See screenshots below. I forgot to take one after I deactivated 01B4-ASD but it just says "code missing" or something now. (I did perform an export per app warnings in order to revert).
Anyone know when this will be enabled for iPhone? I checked today and there isn't any options on the ASD module for activation codes. Is it still in beta?

I deactivated ASD with my iPhone 12 on my '22 X3M last Friday. I didn't have to deactivate the license, as the option to disable ASD was available under the RAM module. I disabled it there and no more ASD.

Like this in post #36?

If so, there is an additional step which I pointed out in #32

It might be listed under RAM but without doing the Activation Code part it doesn't disable ASD.

I did not do the license deactivation step, however ASD is clearly turned off in my vehicle. It is almost a night and day difference in sound, so is very noticeable to me that it is now turned off. Possible that BimmerCode updated their app? It did make me do a data update before doing any coding.

nice! just need other IOS owners to confirm then.

I noticed a data update too and checked yesterday to see if we could set different Ambient colors for top & bottom...Still a no go on Android

Yeah I dunno. I had disabled ASD a while ago just using the app. But it doesn’t sound like it’s turned off. Maybe I’ll re-enable and then disable it and see if that makes any difference. Maybe it does the license thing automatically now.

Im on iOS and I tried disabling and re enabling but that didn’t work. I did see that there’s an expert mode now so that may be a workaround. I’ll play with it tomorrow and see what I can find. Fingers crossed because I’ve been wanting to disable ASD from when I first got the car

I tried enabling and disabling ASD again. I honestly can’t tell if it’s on or off. I might have to turn it on, drive around and then turn it back off and drive around. Or I might just say F it and leave it as-is. The car sounds good. I just want that sound to be natural, not simulated.

I tried changing the code to F98 instead of the F97 on my X3M and that didn't work. I'll try a different code altogether and see if that forces it off like it did on the F8x.

I did see that there are options under Expert mode to turn off the fake burbles and the stupid upshift fart and those worked beautifully. The upshift fart was definitely my biggest complaint with the ASD so perhaps I'll leave it with that disabled if I can't figure out how to fully disable ASD.

Update - I tried changing the chassis code to two different types and it appears the ASD is still on. Fake burbles and upshift farts are gone though, so I'll take that as a win.

I hope there is going to be an easy way to do this with iOS one of these days using Bimmercode.

The ASD in this car is terrible. In sport more the "thump" during upshifts coming through the speakers is absolutely horrendous in my 2023.

You can remove those upshift farts through expert mode. I removed that and the fake burbles, but I have not been able to fully remove ASD on iOS

LOL, I love that. "Upshift Farts". If I could at least get rid of those it would make me so much happier.

Do you happen to have a link on how to do that on the LCI through expert mode? Thank you.

In iDrive 7, I have set ASD to "reduced". It's made it passable. I'd love to disable it in BimmerCode, but I am trying to use BimmerCode as sparingly as possible.

Why is that? Bimmer code cant mess anything up nor can it "void" your warranty.

I'm fairly certain the upshift nosies are a byproduct of the timing retard during aggressive upshifts. There isn't a way to disable that. Mine has become slightly less audible since my xhp transmission flash because that time between shifts and what the trans is telling the engine to do has been modified.

What menu is that in? I can't seem to find it in iDrive

No link, but in “Audio and ASD”, go to expert mode and find “ASD_PLUS_EZA_UPSHIFT”, then select “Inactive”. I also chose to disable of the fake burbles under “ASD_PLUS_BURBLING”. Hope that helps
