Bumpers Xline to M Line Upgrade

Hi has anyone upgraded the standard Xline bumpers to M Line on an X3, 3.0l model. Mine has both bumpers trashed in minor crash and finding new ones is hard for the Xline but there are heaps of M line with PDC. Why would I not do this ?

If I recall, you will need to change the black bits along the sides of the X3 as they attach differently than the xline.

It'll look a little funny since the M sport bumpers don't have cladding but they would fit.
