Question for audiophiles, Any testing on wireless CarPlay versus wired or Bluetooth?
Wondering if anyone has tested how wireless works with wireless CarPlay? I believe it works with WiFi instead of Bluetooth. Does anyone know if it will passthrough untouch audio like wired CarPlay does?
I know Bluetooth compresses and as converts all formats to aac on iPhones. I was hoping CarPlay would leave audio untouched. It would be nice to not have to plug my phone in. I could use wireless charging that way too.

Awesome thanks for the link!
Looks like output is the same between wired and wireless CarPlay. Both are limited to 44/16 lossless. And it's converted to alac. Only way to get higher is to have 96/24 content loaded onto a usb stick and plugged in directly.

Np, yes that sums it up. You can also copy it to the HD in the car.
