MHD tuning S58

MHD tuning is still working on their S58 flash tune, but I decided to open this thread to discuss their first published results and compare them with other available tunes. Below is their dyno result after Stage 1 tune with 95 octane fuel, otherwise stock with OPF/GPF. 94 whp gain.

Here is the Stage 2 tune. They say the car is otherwise stock. 600 whp/900 Nm.

Thanks for sharing, Alex. I'm probably in the minority but seems 1/4 mile slips would also provide useful info. R/T's can sort out roughly how long LC was held (if full accelerator at the first light and tree is known) and interval times vs stock analyzed.

1/4 mile data would indeed be very helpful. MHD is a Germany-based tuner and they like to report 100-200 kmh times, relevant for Autobahn drivers yet a bit useless for the rest of the world. Here are the 100-200 kmh times for stock vs. Stage 1 and Stage 2 (DA not reported):
Stock: 10.57 sec
Stage 1: 8.26 sec
Stage 2: 7.07 sec

What are the dragy #’s, 1/4 and 0-60.

I don’t know how to interpret 100-200 times against 5.0’s, GTRa etc

No I’m with you, I can’t open up car mags and check 100-200 times and compare against fast cars, I get people like it but nobody other then people with dragy measure it.

100-200 kmh performance evaluations seem to be popular in Germany. Here are two links for times comparison:
https://www.rs-motorperformance.de/100-200-km-h/
http://jp-zeitenliste.de/2018/02/13/100-200-km-h/

So the stage 2 100-200 kmh time is right there with stock Ferrari 458 Speciale, modded Audi R8 V10 and GT-R Track Edition.

Thanks for starting the thread Alex.. Certainly good looking result for the price point. Appears Flasher model $249, Monitor Module $99 and Map pack for $99 put you all in at $447 with stage 1 and 2 maps. Bm3 is about $648 for roughly the same.

Same as BM3.

I managed an easy 3.5 with a full tank and a 90kg passenger.

I've had a 3.3 with less fuel and just me. I think a 3.2 should be easy.

Maybe Momir@MHD MHD Tuning can provide some additional info. This would be really great.

MHD Flasher now available for iOS! Sadly, the S58 tune is still in the beta phase.

Yep I wanted to check if your experience was any different? And it seems that I had the same exact results with MHD Beta on the 2020 M40i for the new B58 which I was a part of for 6 mos.
I dont want to bash a co. publicly but I do have stories....So I wanted to give any future members looking for tunes that come across this thread for the X3 S58 or B58. BM3 is the way to go in all aspects or JB4 and whatever else there may be.

MHD S58 OTS maps are coming this week. Will be interesting to compare with BM3 and MP. Healthy competition among tuners can only help us customers...
