Tow bar / hitch installed but Parking Sensors still on?

Hi everyone, at the weekend I got a tow hitch installed (removable) and they've done a great job except when I installed my Thule XT bike carrier the parking sensors are going off.

Yes I can disable them with the button but I want the camera on and I want them for the front of the car too.

Any thoughts?

Was this a BMW dealer install of a BMW hitch? If so, it'll also have a power connector for the trailer lights. Get a trailer light tester and plug it in. Rear sensors are disabled.

Not installed by BMW? Not sure if there is a solution.
