I don't recommend using more than one devise as well, but OP was asking about transferring the app to a new device.

Having an issue save presets after coding. I tried saving the sport displays, which I had previously done, and it says unsuccessful. I did change the color and wondering if that is causing the issue.

My first attempt at coding. ASD off. Good. ASS giving me problems getting it to remember to stay off. I went to the cluster and somehow made the clock just stay at 12:00 even though the time is correct on the I drive screen. I had a check engine light stay on after going in to the cluster so I bought BimmerLink and bimmercode. The one for reading codes will not connect with my MX+ even though it is listed as an accepted adapter. Very confused at this point. More reading. This is my first week so a steep learning curve. I should have stopped after the ASD today.

Ok. Got the clock back. The time was not correct in the I drive. I think that is enough for today. I would like to get BimmerLink link to connect with my MX+ though. It is not listed in the list of adapters in the app? Brian

Yes... I know I don’t have TPMS.
This is a broader question of what would happen if I enabled the coding option even though I don’t have the required hardware.
Would car report faults because it’s now expecting info from a non existent subsystem?

Same query with the alarm specific codings... when I don’t have an alarm.
Ie. Beep for lock/unlock
I didn't realize I didn't have TPMS and coded the pressure and temperature for my car. I didn't get any errors; however, when I click on the vehicle status screen it just shows blank dashed lines where the values should be

It doesn't seem available in Carly or Bimmercode.
I have a 2019 x4 G02. It's standard in Bimmercode and let's you code by degrees. Very easy to adjust.

what's the visual graphic of your car and the green lines showing in the display? Never seen that before. Mine just stays blank

I get a small green icon in the upper left-hand side of my instrument console which shows it, but that's it

Auto Steering

I have the auto lane assist that takes over the cars steering and it turns off after about 30 seconds if you don’t touch the steering wheel. Has anyone worked out how to code this to extend the time?

That's the driving assistance plus (green lines are indicating that the car will stay in the lane for you and the car logo means speed /cruise control is adjusted to follow the car in front)

Maybe on esys. Not possible with BimmerCode (at least not yet)

The little green icon on upper left is the Lane Departure warning.

The green lines and the steering wheel icons in the middle lower portion is the Steering and Lane Control Assistance.

I sometimes leave my OBDLink MX+ plugged in and it never set off an alarm after locking except once, when I had left the OBDLink app running. It took me a while to diagnose the problem, not having seen that language in the manual.

OT: Newbie question: How do you add a category to forum profile for, e.g., a list of former BMWs owned?

In your profile settings page, under “edit signature”, here’s how I constructed my quite elaborate one!

Thanks for the explanation. How do I know if I have this feature and how do you activate it?

If you have lane keep/change assistant and ACC you will have 2 extra buttons on steering wheel above and below the res button, if you have 2 blank buttons there you won't have it

Under BDC, go into expert mode.

NSW_EIN_AUF_LDS_STL = Aktiv

If you want fogs on with highbeams:
NSW_AUS_BEI_FL = nicht aktiv

Anyone know how to code the driver seat to automatically slide back on the rails when the driver door is opened? The feature must be in Expert mode, but no idea where.
