Alternator replacement question ?

On my 2011 BMW x3 the voltage pack on my alternator is mishaving. The allternator is rated 210 amps. Should be be any issue if I replace it with a higher rating ( 215 amps) - It's cheaper ! I cannot forsee one

Shouldn't be any issues. 5A is nearly nothing. I don't think you would need coding done but I would be mistaken on that. But in the electronics world, you'll be fine. It should only make what would be required by electrical demand.
