X3/evoque/glc

So in 8 month time I’m ordering my new car

Bit of a quandary though the new evoque looks lovely the x3 is lovely and I quite like the glc

Would you still go x3?

I just don’t know which to pick tbh I’m hoping as well x5 and gle prices come down abit with discounts if they do I might look at them but I just don’t know what to pick!

The new evoque is lovely the x3 is lovely

Ahhhhhhh

New Evoque does look good, but it will still lag behind the Germans for performance, efficiency, infotainment and reliability.

As for the Merc it depends how old your are, if you are young, virile and still have lead in your pencil then the sporty dynamics of the X3 should win, or if you are in the Autumn years of your life and you need to cosset those arthritic joints then the comfort of the Merc should win.

The glc isn’t really in the running if I’m honest

I love the x3 just wondered if anyone else had the same thoughts on evoque

Out of these options I would still go x3. Personally by the time you spec a GLC43... just get a GLE 2020 or a x5 - Cost difference is about 10k.

It is all about the residuals as it also influence the monthly payments.

Well the evoque has the better residuals but the finance % rate is more so it’s as long as it’s broad!

Got to be honest I do love the x3

Personally wouldn't buy a range rover Evoque over a x3 M40D... that x3 will smoke that evoque.

I wish the M40D was available in the states

£59k for an Evoque!! I was thinking you were considering an Evoque as a cheaper option! I cannot believe they can be that much, it’s an entry level crossover!! A Velar HSE is less than that and a Range Rover Sport HSE is only £3k more!

The Evoque is nice looking.....for my wife. My wife really likes them so I thought I'd give them a look, then I saw the price...WHAT?!?!? I was thinking fully loaded, top of the line would be about $45K, maybe I'd consider one since she likes them so much. Turns out decent looking ones are into the $60s.....its just not much car for the money. And its a girls car lol.

That would of been his speced Evoque, the cost of a Velar HSE with options jumpes up very quickly.

Totally agree, I can't believe they're that much, I thought they were just a bit more than a Nissan Qashqai! Truly shocking!

We have a GLC and will probably be trading out of it soon, since warranty is almost up. Test drove the X3, 18 X5d, Q5 and Macan today. This is my wife's car, so she always had Mercedes, but would like to try something different.

I think the newer BMW's have the best tech right now. I always hear that Audi does too, but was not impressed with the tech. The drive was not bad though. 19 X3 drove really well, much better than the last generation, 18 X5d, liked by heavy compared to the other cars and not as sport of drive, plus older tech now. Macan was nice, but smaller and overpriced.

I think I messed up. I'm in my autumn years, joints are OK though, kinda virile and still got an X3. I'll return it on Monday and get the Merc.

In USA, "throwing shades" mean hurling insults in an indirect way. Not sure if the user intended to mean that way...

I suggest you should try the contrary, since keeping an X3 could possibly result in extension of our virility.

Don't underestimate the power of the ultimate driving machine and all the joy that comes with it... :
