Someone post a pic of where this spring goes

On the G01 X3, after using the small storage compartment (probably the 2nd time I ever used it) next and below to the steering wheel, the spring jumped out.

See pic, can anyone post a pic of where it's supposed to go and what way round.

I had a Quick Look in Bimmer Refs, but unfortunately it doesn’t go into that much detail.

I’m sure if you were to take a closer look at the latch, it could probably only go one of two ways .

I spent ages trying to get the spring back in but its nigh on impossible, also the two rods that hold the latch it won't budge, so i can't dissemble to get the spring in place to wind it back.

What **** design by BMW

With mine being Black it’s not easy to see . I took this picture, I hope it can help you out.

Edit: Taken a better look at yours, it looks like the plastic piece that the spring is held by broke off .
