Help with valve cover /injector pipes
All I'm doing my valve cover and noticed that I don't have any flare nuts holding the injector pipes to the rail. All of the diy videos I've seen as well as realoem show nuts there. How is it possible these high pressure pipes are on my car with no nuts? Hoping someone who has done this job on this car can comment on whether they had nuts there.

Weird, I definitely had nuts there on my 2013 3.5i. I'd have to guess that you'd need to undo the nut at the end of the fuel rail, anything else holding it on, and take the whole thing out. That's a pain...

Okay, got curious and looked it up. Seems like the instructions for replacing the fuel rails show a different style than everything else. I'm guessing this is what you'll need to do.
Uninstall Reinstall Those torques on the reinstall are: 1) 13Nm 2) 23Nm 3) 30Nm With both 2 and 3 noting that you should coat the screw connection with transmission oil. I would say I did not do that on my traditionally laid out one...

This is exactly what I guessed I needed to do and did. Where was that procedure, TIS?

Yeah, it had one that was replacing the rail (with pressure lines) which is what I copied the images from. All of the just pressure line ones were different, with nuts on both sides. Not sure why there'd be a difference, but looks like you got it sorted!
