I got 5% from Herb, without pressing them at all. That said, I was in a time crunch and wasn't really bothered to put more effort in. Working with Herb was 1000x better experience than Shrewsbury.

Agreed x100! I honestly would never buy anything from Shrewsbury the way the Business Development Manager spoke to me. He basically told me to keep my business at Peabody (so unprofessional) where I bought my last couple cars because he thought the deal I was asking for was ridiculous. Herb made it happen!

I agree on Shrewsbury, I was so disappointed, drove all the way there to test drive a loaner X3 m40. The offer they gave me was insulting.

I got my X3 from Peabody, they would not go more than 8.2% on a custom order but I really like working with them and in the last 3 years my experience with their service (even with out of warranty cars) was great.

I can't get any dealers in my area (Columbus, OH) to give more than 2% off a X3 xDrive30i. It's been quite frustrating.

On both occasions I was shocked...was told "there really isn't that big of a mark up on these". Would not even negotiate with me.

And I thought the AZ dealers were being stingy around here. 😬

Yeah, it's nuts. Trying to figure out my next move. Test drove it and fell immediately in love with it, but at 2% there's no chance on my end.

Sounds like your best bet is to buy from out of state and either drive it home or have them ship it to you.

Not sure it's worth anything since all markets are different, but currently the dealers in Sweden are doing about 20% discount on X3 M40i (MY19) that are in stock. Guess they want to close the books clean and leave room for MY20 cars.

I got mine at 24% off MSRP.

Just for educational purposes, how many SEK does a well optioned X3 M40 MSRP for in Sweden?

I work for a large Swedish company, and know what list prices there are for products we produce in the States

845000 SEK more or less maxed out.

This is about 89000 USD MSRP. 20% off means 71000 USD net. I got 24% which would equal about 68000 USD net. All with current currency.

I think with Swedens really poor value of SEK currency this should be way more than in other countries.

Thanks for the data point. I think a fully optioned M40i here has a MSRP of about USD 68,000 (mine has a 63,000 MSRP). It isn't too hard to get a USD 10,000 discount with dealer and importer contributions - so maybe USD 57-58K purchase price.

I work for ASSA ABLOY AB based in Stockholm

2020 X4 M40i

MRSP: $70,720
Discount: $707.20
Rebates: $5,500.00
Sale Price: 64,512.80

Trade-in Value: $15,500.00

Total Cash Price (adding Taxes/Fees): $52,545.29

Purchased in North Texas.

--

Just purchased the vehicle on Saturday. Not as good of a deal as what some have shared, but we were rather indifferent if they got to ~$50k total cash price for the exact vehicle spec we were looking for without needing to build an order. This was the only vehicle I found within 500 miles that was spec'd the way we wanted it without any compromises on preferences.

Interestingly enough, these X4's don't seem to sit on the lot for long in north Texas. The ones we looked at 14 days ago had all been spoken for by the time we came back.

We're extremely satisfied. The dealership experience was great and they didn't jerk us around (like Chevy/Dodge have in the past). This was also an aggressive value on my trade-in. CarMax offered $12,000, Kelly Blue Book was around $16,500. (Beaten to hell Audi S3).

Financing rebate improves from 2500 to 4000. Loyalty rebate stays same at 1500 for total of 5500 until 1/2/20. Sign up with BMW CCA for 3 years qualifies you for another $500 through them. These rebates are unique for M4.0. My salesman had to be walked through it by me. Happy hunting. Oh, and financing rate improves to 2.99%.
