So I got my x3 a week ago, I am so clueless about these cars, I’m used to working on trucks not nearly as fancy lol. I don’t even know how to tell is my sound system is base or what lol. So I have My BMW app installed on my phone, copied my vin and used a few decoder sites to try to see alll my cars options. Each telling me there are errors, saying you can’t use the letter O, it’s actually a zero, etc. well nothing is wrong with it.. I’ve never had this problem before because I never deal with VINs lmao I know nothing about why this won’t show up anywhere for me. Yes, I also took the vin straight from vehicle windshield AND door sticker… has anyone heard of this? Like I said I’m clueless about this stuff so maybe it’s not rare to happen?

It's interesting that you don't have WB** VIN. A bit of OT: Skoda Auto has ("always") TMB*, but my former Toyota Yaris had VNK* (a plant in France...). Any other japanese-made Toyota has J**. That is a bit confusing, I thought that it's determined by country where the plant is.
Btw, My X3, clearly made in RSA, has WB**

I’m also W but made in Spartanburg USA. W is apparently world origin = Germany according to what I’ve read. Clearly doesn’t match where our cars got assembled.
