I'm not a fan of Joaquin Phoenix. If it get's good reviews maybe once it makes it to Netflix.

I thought he was pretty good in Gladiator. Most people don't realize that it's the bad guy that makes the hero looks good. Also not too many good films make it to Netflix.

I get the whole bad guy thing, I just don't care for him. Wasn't bad as Johnny Cash I guess. I was using Netflix as a general comment about streaming services.

I always separate the man from his works. A lot of people don't have a lot of nice things to say about Steve Jobs as a person but hey he's Steve Jobs :-).

I get it. It's like politicians. I don't have to like them, I just want them to do their job. But show business folks (I've dealt with a bunch of them) I don't have to consume their product, so if I don't like them I don't watch them, or I at least make a decision to compromise myself. Just sayin'

I could understand some might be turned off by Joaquin Phoenix but he's in Signs after Gladiator and I thought very few actors could do that 180 degree U turn so convincingly. I could name quite a few one-note actors (Tom Cruise cough cough ...) who play the same role over and over again.

Absolutely cannot wait. I think this role was teased and almost ruined in its last appearance on the big screen. No fault of Jared Leto... but we just didnt get enough in Suicide Squad. Kind of a waste and hoping to see it done properly this time around.

Joaquin Phoenix is perfect for this role. Troubled by fame and all that comes with it. Including having your younger brother die in your arms outside of the Viper Room.

We can only hope that he channels some inner psychopathic personality... and puts its on display this October!

He has some massive shoes to fill since the last real rendition (and best to date)... portrayed by none other than the late Heath Ledger.

Part of the reason a enjoy marvel films is seeing the same actors play their characters.

This is a stand-alone project, not connected to the general DC universe. Even though I thought I read that they killed off that whole universe a couple of months back. Who knows.
