The biggest tip/trick that I can provide is remember that you can create shortcuts for virtually anything in this car using the 1-8 buttons... this is inclusive of carplay screens.

Also - you can use BMW Voice Assistant to do a lot including changing the current drive mode from say comfort to sport... just say BMW put car in Sport mode or something along those lines.

Best coding I've done -

Auto Start Stop Always Off
Sport Individual Mode on Startup Always
Seat Belt Chimes Off
Video in Motion Enable

Last tip - drive in Comfort suspension mode... Sport suspension doesn't offer anything outside of a little less lean.

I have a 2021 with the M Adaptive Suspension option. I suppose some prior threads have discussed this, but I always wonder if there is a steady state that the system returns to after a while of grandfatherly driving when I have it in Adaptive mode, which is where I have it set most of the time.

While I agree with your comment in general, I notice more than just less lean when I go from Adaptive to Sport mode: less lean, more stiff rebound, and thus more road surface feel.

I guess BMW did some more tweaking with the suspension settings after the 2021 model year, because I guess with 2022 and later you can't manually select an Adaptive Mode.

You are correct, the 22+ no longer has the adaptive mode... without ever testing it, I CAN only imagine it is the worst setting of all ... as then the suspension would probably be all over the place.

My complaints with BMW suspension go back ages but this adaptive suspension is garbage - you are absolutely correct on your sport comment... i should have said it doesn't offer anything else positive... more stiff rebound in this car = bounciness aka a trampoline... i've driven on a hwy onramp with uneven road undulations (like most US roads) and the difference between comfort and sport is dramatic in how confident the car feels... with the latter being a 747 jetliner if that's what you want out of a car.

Does anyone ever have an issue with the heads up display height falling?

I know I've set it to very high numerous times but I've seen it go back down to medium height or low randomly.

I thought this might have happened to me a couple of times.

Perhaps the lower setting is saved along with seating position, so if you simply change it without saving, when you re-start the car it will go back to the low setting?

I have raised it, and remembered to save, and I've since been getting the raised position back consistently.

When you are in stop&go traffic and use the ACC, you can press Resume right after the car stops, and it will move immediately after the car in front of you moves. So you don't have to pay that much attention to when to push the RES button/gas pedal.

Just to add that even then it will be active just for 2 minutes or so. If you are stopped longer than that, it will be paused again
