New iPhone Forum App Actually Works..YaaaY

Thanks mods for upgrading to a functioning iPhone mobile app.

So far so good. I checked my notifications, viewed photos, cleared my mentions and non of it failed.

Version 5.3.0 in the app store.

Best part is the search function finally works for our forum!

No more threads on the same things over and over again.. now your 3 year old threads will be revived lol

Yeah it’s been working great for me since last night. I’m still getting used to getting to the my subscribed forums, I’m sure the muscle memory will kick in soon enough.

My only gripe is it does feel like you see less content because they’ve spaced everything out more. That and capitalize the titles!

Back to report my favorite feature now is I can leave my phone on silent AND hear the audio from videos.

I am going to be that guy.... the updated interface is not clean at all and is a bit confusing.

^^ it is confusing after using it a bit more.

Why are My Forums not easily accessible?

I mean when I check the app I most of the time I want to go to MY Forums, aka forums that I saved as favorites. Nowhere else and now I have to search for it.

The layout is has a nicer appearance but I also agree now the spacing is ridiculous and also unnecessary.

And my own finding is the alert notification tones are now gone I am back to the stock iPhone DING which is just gross.

Just downloaded the app and it looks solid with a much nicer user experience than some other forums using tapatalk.

That’s so true. The E90 forum from another “festive” site was very popular and I spent a lot of time on Tapatalk and hated every minute of it. This app is miles ahead - either iteration - compared to Tapatalk.

I agree. Too much space. I’d like to condense it down a lot. Do we really need all these rounded corners and a massive image banner at the top of an x3?
