Luxus Cargo Liner

We had a cargo liner for our X5 that we recently traded in and wanted to get the same for our X3. I went with Luxus car matts and I'm not disappointed. First off, they come straight from China, took a month to arrive so buyer beware. A few days after my order they emailed me and asked for a picture of the cargo area, which I supplied and they thanked me. Actually their communication was very good, almost too much (need to unsubscribe now). So the one I had for the X5 was all one piece and very fabric like, almost like a quilted moving blanket. It protected the sides but wasn't waterproof or stiff enough to stand on its own had to install snaps.

The Luxus matts are individual sections (2 sides, 3 back of seats and 1 for the bed. They came with a bunch of velcro strips to attach to the X3 but as of now, they don't seem to be needed. The velcro portions sewn into the liners adhere to the cargo area "carpet" pretty good. They are made from more of a rubbery padded material and are fairly stiff. They all fit perfectly and snug, had to be careful folding the seats back up as to not fold over the pieces when they meet just before locking into place. I also added the Weather Tech liner as well, a bit of overkill but we go to the beach a lot so I really wanted water proofing. Time will tell but I'm more than happy and they exceeded my expectations.

Hauling beach chairs, cabana, coolers .... tends to get messy. Not too mention the occasional bags of mulch, etc. Better safe than sorry IMO.

Exactly, when hauling salt for the water softener and fertilizer/plants etc., I purchased a heavy duty Gorilla garage rug (liquid proof too) for the boot to contain the mess. Cut it to fit and it works perfectly. Got it at Amazon...where else.
