Recommended Accessories?

Hello all, I'm a former e92 owner and forum enthusiast, and I recently purchased a 2016 f25 M-Sport x28i. It appears that the X3 forums are a bit less populated than the e9x forums I used to frequent, so after some searching I thought I would go ahead and ask if there are any OEM or non-OEM accessories the X3 community has found particularly useful, sexy, and/or high quality.

Best all weather trunk liner? Petals? Mats? Grills? Just curious what people have tried and been happy with as there didn't seem to be a lot of action on the WDYDT thread.

Thanks for the tips. I hadn't planned on doing much, if any, performance tuning because I figured with the n20 there wouldn't be much to gain in such a heavy body. But I'll dig around a bit to see what kind of gains can be had and if it is worth the price IMHO.

I read a bit about "sport" steering, and that caught my curiosity. I have the M-Sport package, but didn't think that affected steering other than the M-Sport steering wheel. I'll look into that as well but if anyone has a quick description or a link to check out, it certainly would be appreciated.

At the moment I'm checking out the various interior options for pedals, mats, nets, liners, etc, and am not sure which might be better or more useful than others, as there doesn't seem to be a lot of used sales action of that stuff. Just curious if anyone has any favorites I guess.

Sport steering usually refers to VSS. Unless you have the adaptive M suspension you can’t get VSS.

Often times it is just referred to as the MSport steering wheel.

Garage List
trunk liner and mats: either from the OEM or weathertech...check the for sale listings and you might find one cheap.

coding: little things like autofolding mirrors when you lock, enable remote closing rear hatch, enable sport displays, etc

grill: check for sale...are you looking for all black or? I like the m-style double fin grills myself, just wish they were available for pre-LCI

check out alternatives to JB4...some places offer actual tunes, or another piggyback tuner similar to JB4 that I like is racechip ultimate https://www.racechip.us/shop/bmw/x3-...-255lb-ft.html

Improve throttle...either what racechip offers or sprintbooster
