window regulator problem on 2011 X3 3.5

I have a 2011 X3 3.5 (original owner) and had a front passenger window regulator problem so it had to be replace a few weeks ago.

OEM Part does not exist in my region so my local mechanic had to order it from the dealer.

1st problem: dealer says the polarity on the new module is now reversed, so i had to order and change the driver side regulator also for matching purposes, which is not a bad thing as this window was kind of slow and squeeky at times.

Both regulator comes with a new window also. So the price was expected to be off the roof, but is finally only 400$ cad for 2 brand new windows and regulators.

Everything was installed in a snap BUT because of the polarity change, the button function are now reversed and only the dealer can reprogram it (so they claim...). so that was probably why the price was so low as i now have to go get the car programmed...at 150$/hr.

So anyone here ever had this problem and is there a way to program this with the coding method with a laptop?

I had exactly the same problem, so I removed the door panel, took the motor off ( just 4 screws) and reversed/ turned the motor round and it works fine now.
