I found another ///M logo in the foot well while cleaning the interior. The protective cover was never removed during prep at the dealership and I never noticed the cover until further inspection today. Peeled it of and there it was.
What does that make, 30 ///M logos on this thing now?

0 position turns adaptive functions off only, it still turns lights on and off automatically, is a bit confusing, there's no way to turn lights off manually in the dark other than shutting down

Not sure if mentioned already...
If you press and hold the back button, iDrive shows you a list of the last actions you did along the bottom of the screen and you can select them. |

It was a nice bright morning today and I was questioning why they were on full in the first place - hence me playing with the switch.

I did notice in the dark (after I shut off my engine) it would just leave the day lights on and main lights off if I toggle from auto to off.

Examples of various iterations of iDrive...yours is newer and may be slightly different...but you should get the idea:

Wait a minute! You can adjust the headrest height and the fore/aft separately!? Come on anyone else not RTFM and assumed it was combined by the big round button on the side of the headrest? Everyday is a school day.

The protective cover is on there to protect it from truck drivers/railcar and dealer employees, etc. with their big greasy logging boots scratching it up with all the stones and grime that they love to walk in all the time.
