What's the longest drive you've done in your X3/X4

This week I'm heading off to the Alps in my new car. I've had it just over a week and already put 1500 miles on it. This next trip should be fun as my total trip miles will come in around 2000 miles.

It's not my biggest car trip - that was back in January 18 and a 4000 mile trip from Brussels, Belgium to Tromsø, Norway, back via Stockholm, in my 430d Xdrive.

But it got me wondering, what is the biggest trip you've done in your X3?

Sounds like a great trip. Where did you go?

I've done several weekend trips with the SAV. Living in a city with public transit road trips are its primary purpose. So Chicago to KC is 530 miles eight hours one way and then back in a couple days. Seats are fine and it's quiet.

I haven't done any trips in the X3 yet so all my 1,800 miles so far has been the usually daily driving and weekend activities. Doing a trip to San Diego later this year but even that is only around the 300 mile mark one way.

1,500 miles in just a week is impressive. That's a lot of driving! Of course this car makes each mile a fun one.

Yeah, but easily done. I did around 200 miles on my first day, just going to different places. A trip to the beach with the dog is 90 miles each way, And I regularly travel between UK and Belgium/France, which at a minimum racks up 500 miles on a rtn trip.

Your San Diego trip sounds like fun. I enjoyed touring around CA when I was there a few years ago.

A round trip totalling 520 miles in one day. It munches miles like my F10 30d M Sport did - comfortably.

Nothing special really. Just going home for Christmas to visit family and friends. But I must say, that your trip to Tromsø got me thinking. We planned to go to Lofoten Islands, but rent a car there. Maybe we should take our X3 there.

Austin, TX to St. Paul, MN about 1200 miles one way. First leg was ATX to Kansas City, KS which was around 800 miles. Great car for long distance road trips, not quite as plush as my F15 X5 but it is still very comfortable.

I did ~1400 miles in 3 days moving from SoCal to TX. Car handled beautifully and was very comfortable for myself, the wife and the dog. Hardest part was reloading half the stuff each day as I didn’t want to leave anything visible in the car overnight. I had the rear compartment stuffed from floor to ceiling, rear footwell stuffed, etc.
