Not sure about TX to CA, but I had my car shipped from NJ to TX and then TX to NJ. Will be shipping back to TX from NJ soon.

First time was on company dime, inside a semi with the rest of my belongings. 18-wheeler with my own trailer. The drivers estimated this to cost $1200.

Second time was through one of those brokers (they're ok but they take $75-100 right off the top). I met with the drivers and it was your typical 18-wheeler car carrier. Car arrived on time and undamaged.

The broker was Nationwide Transport, the carrier was JPF Trucking. Total cost was $545. I'll try to contact JPF directly this time.

Hope this helps.

Just shipped my E92 last week from TX-CA......the buyer did the leg work and the car arrived in one piece at the scheduled time. I have no affiliation with the company but they got the job done. Car left on a Saturday and was in buyers garage Wednesday..........Phil

If you can get the time off I say drive as well. My cousin drove my car from Vegas to Cali and he had a blast. Why did he drive, cause I bought the car on vacation and I wasn't leaving Vegas early for shit.

intercity lines. Irvine to Dallas. $1595, door to door service, enclosed trailer, Jay Leno uses them. If its an M car I would use enclosed trailer.

If it's a fake M like mine, you can use a partially enclosed trailer.

I highly recommend Plycar. Call the California location and talk to Nick. I recently shipped two cars from Houston to the Irvine area. They gave me a good price, but most of all they did everything they said they would. It took three days from door to door.

Yes, it depends if you are selling to someone / company there, they will often want to take care of shipping themselves, saves you doing the work.
