Not the opinion you are asking for, but mine is don't. I think black wheels are way overdone, and make a dark car like yours look drab.

I’d go with 18’s especially if you have non run-flat tires. 19’s might look slightly better but they are more prone to damage from bad roads.

If price is not factor, go with 19s and step up tire size if you’re worried about comfort. But VMR wheels in black…eh? Maybe 15 years ago but so many better options for $1000. Heck I can think of used OEM wheels that look better imo.

In my experience, you'll notice a difference in ride quality between the 18 and 19.

We had 18's on our 2017 x3 compared to 19's on our 2016 x3 / both stock sizes on stock rims... same suspension, body, drive train, etc etc... there was a noticeable difference.

With that said - yes the 19's look better / and yes I'm rolling 19's today.
The difference isn't a deal breaker for me, as it's not extreme.

The 18 inch wheel/tire combo will be much more comfortable.

We run a 18 inch combo in the winter and a staggered 19 inch set up in the summer.

The 18 inch wheel/tires have more sidewall, more comfort, a bit more flex but for the winter are a better option.

Our 19 inch set up are run flat P Zero tires which have a very stiff sidewall and are punishing. But the staggered set up looks fantastic. My wife likes how the wide rear tires make the x3 look sporty

The 19 inch set up looks much nicer, and my wife is always wanting me to swap over to summer wheels ASAP in the spring. Fortunately if we get a snowfall she can always take the Jeep.
