I noticed this in the online app menu for the ASD.

"Deactivate the Active Sound Design. Use a backup to revert this coding once it has been applied."

To me, it sounds like it says a separate backup must be made prior to turning the ASD off. Is that true?

Instead of dangling this carrot, but requiring a jump through hoops with a second adapter.

Yes, I also think that was a sharpshooter move on bimmercode's part.

I have coded 90+% of what I wanted. Just still looking to start the car in Adaptive/Sport mode instead of comfort, remove the seat belt warnings (I still use them), etc.
Looks like this can be done, though again, it would require one of two specific obd readers.

Can enhanced Bluetooth (text message functions) be coded in even without wireless charging?

I have the OBDLink LX and it doesn't show the seatbelt option. I did update the Android app.. Wondering if it is just for the Apple version of the app.

I was wondering about that since I know your one of the experts of E-Sys.

With E-sys, it make no sense to individually code/change dozens of values that can be done quickly with VO coding. That is also why factory options are not found on cheat sheets. Good luck!

I can totally see that. I'm a noob so still learning all the stuff. One day I will likely venture to understand E-sys.

I'm actually surprise there's no topic dedicated to this like the Bimmercode.

Unfortunately it still doesn't show the BDC module! It still shows FEM as unavailable, not happy!

ACSM worked though so I have been able to turn off the drivers seat belt warning.

I emailed BimmerCode to see if they were planning to add functionality of the new BDC coding options to other OBD readers that they recommend on their site. I’d rather not have to buy another ODB dongle..

I do not quite get ACSM, but BDC make sense. It is a huge ECU and some adapters may not be equipped to handle data.

Try buying the new dongle and still not getting BDC!

Yeah.. That sucks. I got the OBDlink and don't even have the seat belt mods.
