Thanks, I repurchased at the cheaper price and initiated a return on my old one that I paid $80 for! Just made the return cutoff.

When my X3 is turned on, the first "click" of the control wheel (left or right) doesn't do anything. I have to do 2 clicks for it to become active. I'm not sure if that's supposed to be some sort of safety thing, but it's really annoying! Anyone know if this can be coded out?

I'd say, they are on by default, but I'm gonna check it tomorrow again (it's dark here now).

The speed limit will disappear from the HUD, while actual speed, navigation, warnings, audio track selection, and all other stuff will continue to be shown (unless you uncheck 'Entertainment/Telephone' and 'Check Control messages' in iDrive). The coding, however, has one side effect. The 'Speed limit exceeded' option in iDrive can no longer be checked. The HUD will show your current speed in white, even if you are exceeding the speed limit. I was not able to figure out a way to hide the speed limit info from HUD without also necessarily deactivating the speed limit exceeded function. I don't particularly care as I never used that function anyway. The 'Speed limit exceeded' function in the instrument cluster is unaffected by the above coding. You can still have part of the dial above the speed limit show in red if you want to. (I disabled it as I find it also annoying.) |

Does anyone know if it is possible to disable the automatic playback repeat where the head unit starts playing an album from the beginning once it reached the end? I listen to music exclusively from a USB drive; all music is properly tagged. I'd like to select the first track of an album, have iDrive play it and continue through the last track (which is does), and simply stop (which it does not; it starts playing the first track again).

I think it's same, I consulted lots of guys on Taobao for coding G08. They have no issue on coding G01 with their software, May be not BimmerCode but over all both car should be same. May be import controlled. BMW on purpose to make G08 in China. So can not import cheap G01 from other countries easily.
