Yea, I have been getting these every few weeks. Got the same one above but from my mirror caps ad.
Scammer flags are a "hey my buddy/this other guy" ish direct PM a) about a Classifieds ad from someone who's b) reg date is pretty much today and c) has zero posts, referring you to d) some convoluted email address. Garbage. What I don't see is any way to report them, tho the first couple were already banned by they time I read them. Maybe they'll get scrubbed fairly quickly, but apparently not quick enough. Hey Bimmerpost mods, vBulletin's got a leak and the scammers are wriggling in.

Yeah, they're checking the 'want to buy' posts and sending tailored messages with an offer to sell stuff...buggers

and you wonder why these guys (scammers) persist.
Picture this .. a quiet suburban area in the UK. A young man (19 - my son) having posted a parcel yesterday randomly receives a text message to say "Hi - Royal Mail here - you need to pay £2.99 to release your parcel ...", then we enter the Twilight Zone and the stupid, stupid, STUPID idiot goes to the link and pays (VISA / CVV2) AND types home address in. I mean FFS - what hope for the future of humanity? So that's why they persist, because idiots exist. Yes, I shouted. |

Wow I may have gotten one of these on another forum. “So and so has one for sale here’s his email”.
I’m usually alert to these but forums were my safe place. Is nothing sacred?!?! |

Don't forget the good old 'Microsoft call' where they ring and tell you they're from Microsoft and you have a virus and then ask you if you run Windows on your computer
There is some good videos on you tube such as as Scam Payback where proper hackers (good ones) access the scammers files and delete them from their computer whilst they keep the scammer talking...the scammers eventually realise what's happen and then start begging for their files back...classic! |

Same scam on this side of the pond with Canada Post. Email with notice of parcel waiting for pickup requesting small payment first. My wife and I are also sick of calls for air duct cleaning as well- sometimes at 630- 700am lol. King and Queen of scammers has to be the couple portrayed in the Netflix series The Serpent. Highly disturbing and based on true story. Check it out.

What a coincidence, had a call from a woman today who could barely speak English in an Asian accent telling me that I had an issue with my Broadband, the only issue I have is that it is too bloody expensive, so I told her very politely to P155 Off

I’ve had the Microsoft support scam many times. One time I said I’ve worked in IT for 40 years. The cheeky twat said I must be out of date with technology. I asked him if he knew what IoT and AR are (my areas)...anyway...
