You can't have Harmon Kardon stereo if you also want the exec package? That seems incredibly counter-Intuitive!

Picked up my Glacier Silver M40i on Saturday. Excellent experience from order to delivery. This is my first BMW coming from a 2016 Ford Edge Sport. My lease expires next month so I time it perfectly. I didn't go all out on options, I got what I needed and stayed away from the wants. Was going to wait for the 2020's but the deal I got (12.5% dealer discount) and the 2.99% APR were, in my opinion, pretty solid on a custom order. Pics to follow as I have to get it sealed up properly.

Build:
Glacier Silver
Black Sensatec
Premium pkg
Driver Assistance pkg
Adaptive Suspension
Spare Tire option

Spent the day at the BMW Performance Center in Spartanburg picking this up today.

Amazing experience, I highly recommend it.

Decided to change the interior on my order from Canberra Beige to Cognac. Still on Phytonic blue.

Good news regarding the HK option with the Exec Package for the M40i : Spoke with the BMW Genius yesterday, and the Order Guide/Pricing Guide has been updated. We are now able to order the stereo upgrade with the Exec Package. I could not get the actual document, but supposedly several items were updated June 25 or 26th. If someone could post the updated guides, it would be most appreciated.

I just used the BMWUSA configurator and it seems to have the new packaging and pricing for 2020 but still has the old pictures (or no pictures like on the summary page).

I'm trying to order a 2020 x30i but the system isn't wanting to let me get Dynamic Dampers or DHP without getting the M Sport package, which conflicts with the June 20th pricing guide I got from my CA. The manager wasn't interested in calling a factory rep..he really wanted me to get an inventory car..so I'm not sure how to troubleshoot.

Made a post about it here https://x3.xbimmers.com/forums/showt...1#post25109751 . Any help would really be appreciated... I'm having a rent another car until the new X3 can be delivered. Thanks!

(sorry if this counts as a double post and violates forum etiquette - feel free to delete this post if it does)

I ordered an MY20 X4 M40i over the weekend. Scheduled production is the first week of September, so it should be one of the first MY20 M40s off the line. Don't know whether that's a good or bad thing.

Pretty much fully optioned except for Driving Assistance Pro:
Alpine White
Fiona Red/Black Merino Leather
Driving Assistance Pkg
Executive Package
21" Style 718 Wheels
M Sport Differential
Space-saver Spare
Roof rails in Shadowline
Carbon Fiber Trim
HK Sound
Wireless Charging

I'm hoping to do a PCD a few weeks after production. After six EDs, it should be a fun new experience.

Congrats, looks like a nice build. What made you decide against the Merc AMG 43?

Thanks.

There were a bunch of pros and cons regarding the AMG 43. I think that the Merc is better looking and has a (much) nicer interior, and if they had gone to the new AMG 53 engine, I would have been sorely tempted. But at the end of the day, I'm just a BMW guy at heart. The difference isn't as much as it used to be, but I think BMWs are still a bit more driving oriented and Mercs are still a bit more lux oriented. Over the 35 years that I've been driving BMWs, I've strayed to Audi a couple of times and each time I come back to BMW, it's like slipping on an old pair of comfortable shoes. They just fit me so darn well!

Really nice build. Are you expecting the car about mid November? Is this about the time the car will show up at dealers (lot cars) for purchase, or will it be early 2020?

Thanks!

Umm 2020's are currently in production. 2020 X4s are already arriving at dealers. His X3 should be done by the end of the month with PCD in October depending on PCD slot availability.

Close . . . Mine is an X4 M40i. MY20 X3/4 30i production began at the beginning of August and they're just getting to US dealerships now. MY20 X3/4 M40i production begins at the beginning of September and they should get to US dealerships at about this time next month.

My car has a scheduled production date of the first week of September and I've asked for a PCD date at the end of September. From what I've read, you've got a 2 to 6 week window to pick up the car in Spartanburg. My requested date falls within that window. I just don't know if they can accomidate my date. I'm waiting to hear on that now.

Sweet build. There's a chance I might see you there if things work out for my X3 (I needed the space more than I needed the merino)

Congrats! Great build and color combo. Our cars will come down the line together during the first week of MY20 M40i production. Cool.

I'm confused about your Executive Package comment. Are you saying that you ordered the package and that it's not shown in the build sheet, but all of its components are shown elsewhere? Fwiw, I ordered the Exec package on my X4 M40i and it is shown on both my VIR and the BMW online tracking site. I've attached a screen shot of my build.

Now I am cornfused as well. My build sheet makes no sense and does not jive with what I want. It does not have the Exec package but has premium package but is missing some stuff from the exec package. I am going in to chat with my sales guy tomorrow am to sort this all out.
