Does anyone know if the 2020 X3 M40i was available with the upgraded Merino leather for the US? I know for 2021 it is not an option but wondered if it was for 2020. What merino ever an option?

Merino was never available on the X3 in the US, only on the X4 and I believe even that has since been stopped.

Anyone in SE Michigan (Metro Detroit)?
First time posting on X3 forum -
I am looking for a x30i for my wife. Plan to finance the car. The musthave's for me are sunroof, heated seat/steering wheel, and driver assistant pro. Does anyone know how much discount should I be aiming for? Does region matter or price is similar across the country? Much appreciated. |

Ordered a 2021 XDrive30e this week - already in production
First-time builder here, and this is our second BMW.
I submitted a build for a 2021 XDrive30e this Tuesday, and since it was an available production slot, I was told there was a chance that the build week originally scheduled for 2 weeks from now, could be moved up due to the vehicle being sold. Well, it was Scheduled for Production on Wednesday, and I just checked and it is now in Production Begins and I was assigned a VIN. Seems very fast to me. The question, how long should it take from now until the vehicle is complete? I was originally planning for 4-6 weeks from placing the order, but I may need to adjust that if it is going to be much less than that. I was still debating whether to take delivery at the dealer or PCD, but I think that is out of the question since production has already begun. thanks! |

Production Begins means they are gathering the parts/options for your build but the actual build could be 10-14 days from now. Once they actually start the process it goes very quick, 24 hours to Awaiting Carrier Assignment. To Miami could be less than a week after production is finished but trucking timing/availability is a variable.

Hi everyone. Noob here from the UK.
I’m here because I’ve just ordered a MY21 X3 M40d mild hybrid. It’s my first BMW, if you don’t count the MY2018 Mini Cooper S that as a family we currently have. Previous SUV was a VW Tiguan SE that got written off in Feb of this year due to a collision. Been told by the dealer the car should arrive at the end of August possibly September. I had ordered an X3 20d with Driving Assistant Plus but when the dealer placed the order, due to the worldwide chip shortage at the moment, it wasn’t an available option for the 20d along with the passenger seat lumber support and was only available on the M40d and this was an option I really wanted. So a few emails back and forth and I got a good deal on the 40d and went ahead with the order. Which is as follows: BMW X3 M40d Phytonic Blue Black with Blue Stitching Vernasca Leather Run-flat Tyres Aluminium fine cutting interior trim M Sport Brakes with Red Calipers Driving Assistant Plus Panoramic Glass Sunroof Front/rear heated seats Galvanic Controls Comfort Pack Comfort Access Heated Steering Wheel M Sport Pro Pack 21" 718 M Double-spoke Cerium Grey Matt Active Protection M Adaptive Suspension Front Lumbar Support Sensatec dashboard I’ve never driven an M40d but I’m guessing it’s a faster version of a 20d which I have driven Looking forward to getting the car and being a member of the forum. Shaun. |

My 2021 x3m40i build was submitted on 4/26. As of today, 5/17, it arrived at the dealership this morning.
Its Carbon Black, Cognac Vernasca, Executive Package, Adaptive M Suspension, HK Sound and wireless charging. Standard 19" wheels. They initially estimated 4-6 weeks for delivery. I'll likely have it by Friday, 5/21. So 3.5 weeks was pretty quick. |

Everyone is shocked at how quickly it arrived. I guess maybe they are churning out as many pre-LCIs as they can before they make the switch in July. |
