I am working on a lease deal that I am trying to close the deal this week for a sDrive30i and I have everything negotiated, but I don't understand how this is going to work with the 2020 cut over.

The configurator on the BMW site is still showing 2019 for the non-M cars, so that's what I used to spec out the perfect car for us. However, all the dealers have said that a custom order will be a 2020. Now I am seeing changes to things like the wheels and hearing about package changes.

How is this going to work since my spec and price is based on 2019 info? Anyone order a 2020 sDrive30i this week?

2020 Pricing Guides are in the first post on the first page of this thread. Order from the Guide. btw, never try to order from the online configurator. They are almost always are riddled with errors.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I am new to BMW, and that stinks that you can't trust their handy configurator. It's hard to tell what things look like from a text-based PDF and then I am sure I'll make a lot more mistakes rifling through a ton of coded exceptions written in the notes section.

Your dealer should help you thru it. I hope it's a fun process for you. Good luck.

Can you imagine the threads if remote start is included? There’d be posts like “Today a colleague spotted my car in the staff car park with the trunk open and the engine running.”

are the guides still valid?

Are the guides at the beginning of this post still valid, there aren't any newer ones? the one dealer i'm working with is insisting on using the online configurator to build the vehicle i want to order instead of taking the info I provided her from the build guide, however that doesn't have the 2020 info yet....

The guides are accurate. I sat down with my dealer and built my 2020 X3 M40i and the guid matches the dealer order entry system. I would find a different salesperson.

Ventilated seats ? I would never go with them again, if no side bolsters available.

It's my wife's car and she wants ventilated seats. She was also fine with the 30i, but I was able to at least get an M40. After 30 years of marriage, I pick my battles.

No, at least not at this time. I wouldn't be surprised to see them added with the LCI though.

Most of us can relate to that! And you picked and won the right battle. Good job!

So it looks like all said and done, msport would add "only" about $2,000 to my build, and it's the only way the factory is going to allow an order with adaptive dampers.

The MSRP with $129 doc fee and destination is about $61,400, and the CA said he would do $300 above invoice, which he said was about $58,200. However, at the last minute before ordering, it was brought to my attention that the price was only if we used BMW financial at 3.9% - otherwise we're looking at $2,500 more - $60,700. I politely asked how that was $300 above invoice, and I got the run-around about how I need to factor in "dealership pack
fees" because they "need to pay the truck drivers, and it costs a lot to operate a dealership, etc".

Based on experiences, what would be a fair target price? I'm open to doing a PCD if anyone has a dealership suggestion. I tried reaching out to Greg Poland but he seems a bit swamped at the moment. Thanks

Understanding that the "fair price" is the one you're willing to pay (blah blah), you should be able to get a MINIMUM of 5% off MSRP, even on a brand-new 2020. And that's before incentives, though there aren't any available for 2020s yet.

So, Having just ordered an MY20 M40i (UK) I'm hoping that adding the M-Sport Plus pack (which gives the 21" wheels) seems to also include the BMW Individual high-gloss Shadow Line with extended contents, which by the looks of the configurator, replace the Cerium Grey Kidney grille, mirror caps, air breather and front inlets with gloss black ones as per images below from configurator showing with and without M-Sport Plus package

I thought/was hoping this was the case- my dealer wasn’t so sure. Not really too fussed either way though really, will find out when it turns up, I guess!

I am looking at the order and pricing sheets for the 2020 X3, and I see option 688 Harmon Kardon sound on the ordering guide but not on the pricing guide. Has anyone else noticed this discrepancy? Thanks in advance for your help!
