Ugh, have to feel bad for anyone that just pulled the trigger on a 21. Some pretty radical changes here for an LCI.

Does anyone know when SOP might be?

Looks like the new one will have the dual tach M-screen from the M5 and M3/M4 so you aren't forced to live with the boomerang gauges only.

Hmmm I like the interior changes...feel like I always find myself in this predicament — either in the LCI waiting for the new model or in the pre-LCI waiting for the LCI! Can’t win!!

Silly as it may seem, I’m most interested in the tail light updates. I would argue the current iteration is too red for a modern BMW.

I just picked up a 21 and all things equal, I would get a 22 if I had the choice. My justification for the 21 being a better choice in my case is due to cost. The 22 will cost me at least $13K more than my 21. At this point, due to supply, dealers in my area are not coming off MSRP on anything remotely special. I happy to live with my 21 until the next iteration on the X3M comes out unless the market drastically changes between now and then.

Really kicking myself for getting into '21 back in April but I knew the risks. Got a very good deal so can't complain too much. These will be barely be discounted for quite some time I imagine.

All these little changes really add up though - tach, dash, rims, lights. I look forward to seeing it but have FOMO

IMHO, I do not waste time chasing the newest and greatest thing. I am perfectly happy with my MY21 X3M.

Do I like some of the changes BMW has made, yes.
Am I going to lose sleep over it, No.

Just remember, it is the experience of driving that enlivens you, not the X3M itself.

I lost a little bit of sleep last night after seeing the BMWM teaser video on Instagram for the 2022 LCI. Thoughts running through my head of not taking delivery.

My 21MY X3MC went from production begins to assembly in progress this morning on the dominos pizza tracker.

I am taking some solace in that I got a great deal for an allocation build exactly what i wanted, the 2022 won't be out for months, the deals probably won't be great given the market and given the LCI. It would be a long time I think until I could get similar numbers on a 2022. This car was at the end of my budget anyway. I am trying to think of the 2022 LCI like I think about the X5M. Out of my league at the moment.

Someone please tell me I am right about that…

Someone just please continue to comfort me…

You're not going to get 15% from the jump, but these will not be going for MSRP either. Heavy discounts in early 2022 most likely, just like the 2020s.

Depends on how good of a deal you got on this build, I was at 11% off + $2k incentives for X3MC in April on in stock unit. I can't imagine the 2022's going for >5% for a number of months but maybe I'm wrong. This was at the top end of my budget too.
I would take the 2021. If it bothers you that much swap into 2022 later this year or next. That is my plan

Yep, same here. I'll likely look to trade in my 21 as soon as prices normalize a bit on the 22.

This better be priced high so I don't feel even more buyers remorse for just getting a '21! Urgh!

I had the same thought. That frozen Portimao blue better be 4k.

I am not familiar with how to trade in mid lease MY 2021 and get into a 2022. Only trade/sale i ever did was at end of lease for the buy out.

Financially how bad would I be burned by trying that in 6 months?

So from the sound of it are most of us agreed 5% off on a custom order should be doable?

I saved £24,000 on list for my '21 and I'd be very surprised if similar discounts were available out of the gate on a '22.

Sure some of the new stuff would be nice, but it wouldn't be long until you get a similar feeling of buyers remorse when leaks and spy shots of the next gen X3 start doing the rounds. Spy shots of the G01 started appearing in 2015, 2 years before launch.

I'll definitely be grabbing a pair of LCI taillights though

I think it depends on where you live. In my area, things are not being discounted due to supply versus demand. One of my buddies tried to get an SQ5 sportback and the Audi dealer wouldn't budge off MSRP on that...

I am curious to see what the G8x people are paying currently but from my understanding, it's MSRP.

Its funny because they also did something similar between the 2019 and 2020 X3 and X4. The 2020's received a horsepower increase, as well as the digital dash and steering wheel (for USA) which immediately outdated the first year 2019 models.

Interior looks like every other BMW model that's been out?

That or X3 people got ripped because the X5 and X7 have looked like that since they came out.

in all seriousness, i only thought about getting the G80 xdrive because of its updated infotainment. the only thing that was holding me back from the F97 was its outdated tech… i.e. i just want Apple Carkey. F97 LCI may change that.

anyone know if the LCI infotainment included is idrive OS 8?
