01/15 Update My X3 build was completed this morning.
It's now production code 182 - Awaiting carrier assignment. So it will still be a bit to arrive in WA State.

My first post here!
I was on the e90post for years (over 5K posts), but for some reason, I had to get a new user name for this forum.
Just placed an order for xDrive 30i yesterday for the wife (replacing her 2012 X3 with 100K miles on it).
Details/Options:
M-sport
Brooklyn Grey Metallic
Mocha Leather
PP2
Rear Shades
Remote Start
Trailer Hitch
Live Cockpit
F/R Heated Seats

We bought from the same dealership we purchased the 2012 from. I had three local dealers vying for the business, but Devon BMW cam through with an excellent deal.
Got $1250 off MSRP (we got $1500 off 10 years ago) + $1750 rebate for BMW Loyalty.
Also got $9500 on the trade (I take care of her car and it shows. It still looks fantastic inside and out).

Already looking for wheels. Will probably do custom Litespeed wheels. I have a set of my own design on my 911 made from forged magnesium. Will more than likely do forged aluminum for the X3.

Congrats! You're in my neck of the woods. I had my E36 M3 serviced at Devon Hill for years. Haven't been back since they changed ownership, but since they're owned by Sloane I'm sure it'll be good. I bought mine from BMW of Fort Washington (formerly West German BMW).

Nice!
I'm actually in Chester Springs. It's amazing the difference in dealerships. The closest dealership to me (begins with the letter "O") said they had no cars available back in 2011, nor would they be able to get one for another three months when we got her first one. Called Devon and they said we could order one now and get it in a few weeks. Keep in mind that we had purchased her 2006 325xi from that same dealership.
I didn't play around this time (just too busy with work and family). Went straight to Devon and got a better deal than I wanted. Win-win!

After warranty period, I go to Bimmerworks for all my service needs. Steve and the team there really put the customer first.

Agree, Devon BMW has been really nice and accommodating every time. I bought my first 3 series from them and had a nice experience. The Sales experience with "O" has not been that good and I felt like they are not willing to sell any car. Also, the quotes they gave me was too high. I will have to wait and see, what would be the service experience with these guys. I am in Exton

Nice. I've always heard good things about Ottos, but haven't bought or had anything serviced from them. Haven't tried Bimmerworks as I had thought that they really specialized more in the older bimmers. I've been going to Bavarian Specialties in KOP. Also tried Performance Auto in Malvern and Leading Edge Autosport. All really good shops.

Service was never a problem at Otto's. Sales was another story. Like others have said, it's like they don't want to sell cars. They're willing to deal with the noobs that know nothing about cars and take advantage of that.
When we wanted to order the 2012 from them, they said come back and talk to us in about 3 months! I was dumbfounded. They said they have no allocations available.
I called Devon and they said they could order one tomorrow if we'd like. 18 days later, our car was delivered.
Otto's contacted me about 3 months later and I told them I already have my car for two months. Silence on the phone.

Bimmerworks can work on anything, new or old. They actually get cars from dealerships that are hard to fix (diagnose or really difficult to fix - like removing a broken bolt from a block).
They recently had a late model 6-series come through where another shop tried to fix a problem they've been having and still wasn't fixed (over $1K spent). Chris at Bimmerworkd found the problem rather quickly and fixed it.
Oh, and if they misdiagnose something at Bimmerworks, you don't pay for it. Not great business sense, but great for the customer.

Awaiting carrier assignment! Watching the mygarage - Once it started production, it went fast - all in 1 day. I think I read they produce 1500 X3's in Greer.

xDrive
Premium Package 2
Live Cockpit Pro
Remote Start
Tow
no spare (more space is good)

I don't believe the 360 camera was an option when I was building.

On the way! Maybe I'll see it next week or following.

Yes, they do 1500 X cars a day at the Greer, SC factory, but that is all X cars not just X3's. They told us on the tour this week it takes 28 hours to build an X car. 6 in frame assembly, 12 in paint and the remainder in assembly and QC. They said the SC plant is the largest production facility of all the BMW plants.

Update from the dealership on 2/21.
Vehicle is built and gone through QC. Was delivered today! Picking the car up this Saturday.
So, that would be about 6 week turnaround time.

Of note, they weren't able to guarantee the wheel design when we placed the order. We had originally specified the 787M style, so in the order confirmation they were changed to the 699M.

Hey,

Placed my order for my first X3 the other day. Going for the M40i

Here’s the spec…

- Sophisto Grey
- Visability package
- Comfort package
- Technology package
- Front M Sorts Seats
- Carbon fibre interior trim
- Panoramic Glass Sunroof
- Driving Assistant Professional
- Parking Assistant Plus

Currently have an April build date but have been told today that the car will arrive with no wireless charging which isn’t a problem for me.

However now told by the dealer that will mean it will also have no enhanced Bluetooth and that if I want that then I will need to wait to an October build date!!!

That‘s a bummer. I also won‘t be getting wireless charging but didn‘t know that. Can you still connect a second iPhone via Apple Carplay?

I was at my dealer earlier this week and reviewed several M40s. They all had 6NS (enhanced BT) and 6CP (car play)but none had the wireless charging. My understanding is that they are no longer linked or codependent and are standard eq.

I think this maybe the state of play in the US but according to my dealer in the UK they are linked. :-/

Another dealer has just told me he believes that the enhanced Bluetooth will be available in Q2 by means of an over the air update……confused. Surely if it’s just an update to enable it then why can it not happen now.

Hi there
New to the forum.
Living in France I ordered X4 M40I (almost all options) last July and was given delivery date "at latest" end April 2022.
I was pleasantly surprised when dealer told me the build would start on 9th December with all options an no deletions.
next news I got was that car has arrived in Bremerhaven (end of January) but will stay there until they get delivery of the amplifier for the HK sound system.
I called last week and they say there is still no news or date for the delivery of the amplifier , but hey are hoping that I will still get my car before end of April.
Does anyone else have this problem and do you have any news on when supplies will arrive?
