C/D has incorrect data on the top speed - not sure where they got that number from as it has been known since inception that it is 285 km/hr (177 mph) if M Driver's Pkg is ordered (or no moon roof is optioned). So maybe the rolling start but not sure top speed...

Car and Driver is the one magazine you always show your friends when you want to brag about how fast your new car is. They even got a 3.8 0-60 on a RWD M340i lol. Definitely some favorable test conditions here that other magazines for whatever reason never get close to.

Sure it was in Mexico.
You commonly ride at 140mph? I sure as hell hope your doing that on secluded roadways and not near anyone you could potentially harm.

just like him, I live in Texas, most places speed limits aren't enforced heavily. on my morning commute it's very common to go 90-95mph in a 75mph. That's the flow of traffic and you can go by a DPS officer who won't even bat an eye.

Very impressive indeed, once again. Makes me considering this car even more. But then again, do I need all that speed in Brooklyn? lol

Is a 991 a fancy 911?
Yes. 991 is model designation for '13-19 911 cars.

can you do a run with DAC completely off? I've noticed the car launches better that way vs the actual launch control

Yeah they are always very quick for some reason, Carwow clocked the X4M at 3.8 and 11.8 across the 1/4 mile which seems more like it.

What are C&D exactly doing to achieve results which are always far quicker than the quoted manufacturers numbers? Ok, a tenth or two here and there is fine, but a full second...? Is that really a realistic number?

GTFO.
You're acting like a typical Tesla stereotype. This thread is about an SUV, the X3M, nobody cares about your Model 3, or as Tesla nerds call it M3.

With a perfect launch, a 2.9-3.0s 0-60 is conceivable! (Yeah, the new M3/4C will be mighty formidable! ... and makes my E93 a god damn turtle.)
Don't underestimate the sweet sound of your e92 for outright speed. Your car will definitely be slower but that sweet sound will never exist again

No difference between being caught for 90 v. 140?? Where I live that's the difference between a reckless ticket with most likely no jail time to 6 months in jail.
