X4 M performance exhaust on X3?

I had an e90 328i that I installed the BMW M perf exhaust on. It was the best sounding exhaust I’ve ever had. I’d really like for my X3 to sound similar, but there’s nothing really out there for it. Since the X4 is so similar, could the perf exhaust that BMW makes for the X4 work on the X3 as well? I have the 35i version.

I’m open to other suggestions that aren’t insane in costs. I’d almost consider selling and going to an F15 just so I could buy a nice sounding exhaust.

I put the Remus one on mine and like it. Here is a quick video I took after installing it.

I'd be interested in seeing the F26 X4 40i muffler on a f25 x3 35i. I'd image it would be a direct bolt on.

My second option was going to custom quad with dual vibrant ultra quiet resonators and deleting the stock muffler. Remus axle back was a simpler option.

I watched the video. Is it louder than stock? Any drone on the highway?

I’m not sure how I would go about it. It says it’s only compatible with the X4, but I’m assuming because of the shape of the exhausts? It’s essentially the same car underneath I thought? I’d totally go for if it fit. I really loved the exhaust on my E90. I got compliments on how great it sounded all the time.

There is a little bit of drone on the highway, and its louder than stock. It not super loud just driving around, but as soon as you load it up a bit the exhaust gets a little angrier.

I've got a similar thread open looking for pics of the underside of the M4 M40i for this exact reason. My exhaust of choice though is the Dinan, that's what I'm looking to install...

Garage List
If the Dinan exhaust fits I would definitely go for that but should it not I would go for the Remus quad exhaust.

Let me know if you find out anything. Maybe it's worth asking the dealer about?

What dinan exhaust are you looking at? I don't see anything for the F25 or F26.

The only Dinan they offer is for the X4 M40i, but after looking some more, I see that the X4 M40i is a dual entry exhaust versus the X3 35i is a single entry. So that right there makes it more work and dissuades me from attempting.
