New to me X3 M40i
Hi Folks,
I was going to purchase a 2021 X3 M40i but with parts shortages I could not find or build the car I wanted. Then the 2022 X3 LCI came along and still having issues with parts. A popup ad appeared on a web page for a local Subaru dealer that had a 2019 X3 M40i with 7,000 miles. I called the dealer and talked to the sales person that took the car in. He said it was from someone that has a house in Sun Valley, ID and only goes there a few times a year so the car stayed garaged and not driven much. He told me this car has every available option and I think he is just trying to lure me in since I had not seen one with all options. I go down to the dealer and find the original window sticker in the cargo area storage when I lifter the flap. It actually had every option, even the M Sport Differential and 21” M wheels. The car even has the new car smell. I ended up paying $50,000 for the car. BTW: This forum was really helpful in figuring out all of the X3 choices I had and now I feel I made a really good decision. Thanks for everyone contributing to make this a great resource.

Looks like you scored. Good deal considering used car prices are through the roof. That thing even has the ultra-rare vented seats. So 70k MSRP was the top of the heap 2 years ago. I wonder what a 2022 equipped like that would be today.

Very nice find! I think that the only option you don't have is the rear side window shades.
I'm very jealous of the acoustic glass. Wish my 2021 M40i had it. Last edited by Coi; 08-15-2021 at 08:39 PM.. |

Perhaps it became available later but when I ordered my '21 in late August, acoustic glass was not available...
And great pick up OP, enjoy!

The BMW web site just put up the 2022 X3 and a fully loaded X3 M40i was $69,175. However, no wireless charging and acoustic glass so I would say close to the same price new.

Thanks, Do you know there is a Boise chapter of the BMW CCA? Next two months we have a winery tour along the Snake river, a Idaho City, Lowman, Banks drive and showing cars at a few car shows around the area. We also meet somewhere in Boise the second Thursday of the month.

Very nice scroe! I am a big fan of lightly used, low mileage German cars. If you're not leasing, its a great option to explore.
