What are stock sizes?

I was thinking of going a similar route on my non comp
255/45/20 -> 265/40/20
265/45/20 -> 275/40/20

Think the extra 10 mm will cause issues?

Thanks for the excellent write up.

I've been mulling over color combos for weeks and was set on Donnington but the Dark Graphite looks stunning in your pics.

1200 mile break in service done yesterday and I've had a chance to play with the gear ratios and powerband per gear. I estimate 3nd gear is good to 60mph, 4th to 90mph, and while I've climbed a bit over 110, I didn't pay attention to my gear. The S58 is a real gem! Pulls hard from 3k to 7k RPMs only getting better as you go up with a true naturally aspirated linearity and power peak near redline. This engine and tune feel very motorsport for a forced induction setup and I think it even sounds very good, particularly near redline. There is a smidge of lag but it is inconsequential. It really does feel like a mid/high 11s car which is ridiculous in this relatively large body. The S58 feels like a true M!

This is what I have been telling the random guys who stop by to poke fun at our “trucks”. Such an underrated car!

Yeah there is a little hardy har har that goes on around the X3M and I get it, but this is way more than an SAV/truck. I need to let people start driving it.

Congrats and thank you for the review. I hope to see some X5M owner reviews too. The two owner reviews of the X3M I've read here are better than anything on YouTube, imho

Under serious lateral load, a considerable amount. That is why rubbing is not infrequently an issue on race cars in the fender arch (requiring them to be rolled to accommodate as much tire as possible), as well as on the strut.
Amazing clip. I really enjoyed that. Thanks for sharing.

SQ5 doesn't do it for me.....but I think the new X3 (and X3M) is a home run. Great looking car.

so on this same size tire fitment you have here, 12mm spacers would/wouldn't fit?

Love it we got ours last summer in dark graphite because we didn't want it to stand out but wanted something classy with the black and midrand beige. Yes it's a M3 shoved into the body of a X3. Now have 18000 miles on it to show you how much we love it. Good choice great color!

Beautiful.
I have a jet black X3...a wash is mandatory I'd say every week. Since this quarantine I've driven it about 8 times. This pass wash on Saturday I realized I had a chip paint near the roundel!!!!! I'm waiting on the touch up paint kit to arrive ASAP.

Fitment is tight on the inside so no more room without spacers. I would think 12mm spacers would fit and finish the flush look. I stopped using spacers years ago and do everything to avoid them.

Thanks all! Glad I can provide a forum member perspective.

Yes, 12-15mm spacers (depending on how aggressive a stance you're looking for) will work perfectly for the 265/295 setup.

You know, I drove the SQ5 this last week and turned it in on Sunday. It's really a pretty good car just no personality. The key is to drive it in sport transmission virtually all the time if not manual. I might actually chose it over X3 M40i due to Torsen Quattro and height adjustable air suspension that is sublime, but X3M is the king for fun and performance.

.@transfer Congrats on the making the front page of the news, great write up, and stunning color combo.

Welcome to the M SAV club😊, as I personally have a F85, I chuckled at "You shouldn't be able to change direction in a heavy, tall car like this, but it grips and goes."👍

It's a bummer that stock tires are Conti's.

And quick rant, I had just test driven an M5 at a BMW dealer, but when I popped in on the Mercedes dealer (after calling ahead) they didn't deem it possible for me to test drive their AMG C63. Asked me if I had "experience with a car of this caliber before" and things like this.
I own a C63S and that is complete bollocks. The salesman clearly doesn't have a clue.

I have been drooling about this SAV since it was launched here but at USD325K over here, I can only continue to drool!

Congrats!
