This is a NICE car!!!!

The colour, the exhaust, the rims .....

However the performances gains seem a bit extreme and make me wonder if these will not damage the engine...

As much as I like it, would not do that to my car, modding a car sometimes affects resale value, 2nd gen X4 maybe 2 years away, want to trade mine in intact.

Like X6 which is one year after X5 it should be one year after X3 launch assuming X3 comes as 2017 model so maybe 2-3 years from now, but who knows.

The thing looks awesome. But when my friends ask, "Is that an X4?" I'm not sure I wanna say, "No, it's a Lightweight X4".

tl;dr;
Great looking X4, Lightweight is a super crappy name.

Normally, I find 21" wheels to be on the large side, but they really balance with the proportions of the X4. Now it just needs a BBK!

Nice work

No doubt the X4 M40i will be hot, but it will have a 5+ year old interior design when introduced. A bit harder to get excited about a "new" vehicle.

BMW models typically have a 7 year lifespan, with the LCI (Life Cycle Impulse) or mid-life refresh at 3-4 year.

The F26 X4 came out last year, so six more years. The next is under development and a ways off.
