Since there are no casinos nor any other types of (legal) gambling here in Hawaii, I had to piss my money away on HRE’s, installed on Monday. I’ll post some pics soon; after the X4 gets a wash

I’ll be posting my as new BC Forged set w/ Michelin PS4S (1500 miles) for sale in the Member’s Classified soon as well. I’m just waiting on shipping quotes to both West and East Coasts so I’ll have that information on hand

If this was cast wheels from the 90's and 2000's then sure I wouldn't touch them.

There have been so many new pop up companies selling custom multi piece forged wheels for what seems to be an avg markup, you know they found a supplier overseas.

Not all of them are going to buy new C&C machines or whatever the greatest and best is and only make a small profit margin on selling custom made wheels. There have been a few people on these forums who have also purchased and had a great outcome.

Anyway the company made me measure multiple times to confirm fitment, and had our brake clearance specs on file before milling the new wheels.

https://youtube.com/shorts/KkjbkmV16w4

Don't get me wrong one day I will have a new set of HRE's but not for my daily. TBH for the same price if buying a set from like tire rack, I'd rather this.

https://www.alibaba.com/product-deta...4cd174a3sRJN4B They used my wheels in their listing...lol.
True about them pop up companies and that's for almost every aftermarket part nowadays...it's disqusting but it is a win when I find the parent china company making them lol

My wheel guy did warn me about quality from a few china forged wheel companies but It's rather the roll of the dice, a fairly large dice. Or he just wanted me to buy his commished wheels.

Other than that, the wheels look very good. PM me the company deets for my future wheels will ya!

HRE RC 104’s in Gloss Charcoal with P Zeros

9.5” x 21 (20) and 11” x 21 (35)

265/40/21 and 305/35/21

I REALLY wanted 275 and 315 but the above sizes saved me 25 lbs of unsprung/rubber weight (per the Pirelli customer rep) I’m still incredulous re the difference

VIBE Motorsports absolutely NAILED the offsets as well

That is the exact same tire/rim (size) combination i will get when my actual rubber is gone...

I am drving 255/40/21 and 285/35/21 at the moment.

The difference in rolling circumference is also nearly perfect at your configuration.

Only disadvantage is, that there is nearly only the P Zeros available what I saw.

Would be cool, if you could give a driving feedback at how the tires feel.

Looks great, Rottweiler - glad to see it came together so well! As discussed and promised in our PMs, here's your entry as how it would look following the format we have in the F97/98 thread (maybe you can start one for this series).

Rottweiler : Total G01/02 for HRE RC104 in ‘Gloss Charcoal’ (21x9.5 ET20, 21x11 ET35)/Pirelli P Zero (265/40 R21, 305/35 R21) - 217 lbs https://x3.xbimmers.com/forums/showp...&postcount=908 ] and PM from Rottweiler 22 Apr 2024, 305PM sharing the individual wts. {Ft wheel/tire: 52.3 lbs, Rear wheel/tire: 55.95 lbs}{Separate wts - Ft wheel: 23.3 lbs, Ft tire: 29 lbs, Rear wheel: 23.95 lbs, Rear Tire: 32 lbs}

Last edited by Max Well; 04-22-2024 at 04:04 PM.. Reason: Added the wt info after receiving PM from Rottweiler

Damn, those rotors lookin mirror like! Is that just normal use or did you polish the shiz out of them?

Was planning on installing mine this weekend but I just felt like I needed the rear shims too. Did brake lines and flush instead..

Gonna go titanium rear shim hunting...maybe try out the girodisc shims.

I've used the shims on track...not sure you will need them on road but it wouldn't hurt and at least protect the rubber seals from extreme temps.

Rotors are normal use..lol.
