Not sure if it’s a fault or there is a software update but. Sometimes when pushing on a hit then lifting off the gearbox stays in a higher gear for quite a while before dropping down again, the revs stays higher. This is in comfort mode and normal D.
Overall compared to the software/speed of the M235i it seems a bit slow and clunkier gearbox I also miss the noise and drama of the M235i but clearly a different car |

Hi,
Had the car 7 days love the car to bits so far. Just a few things that could be better. 1 only digital speed in sports mode and that then turns off stop/ start. 2 analog dials not easy to read quickly. 3 wireless charging a option (really) 4 no autonomous braking on a £42,000 car Peter |

2. can't help with that, but maybe you'll get used to them? 3. yeah, but my wireless charging pad has never worked properly and the replacement part is on an engineering hold so i am using a USB cable to charge my phone! 4. Have you not got the circle button underneath the hazard light button, between the two face vents in the middle? I thought that was standard for all UK X3's. I didn't order autonomous braking but my car still has it.

It would be good to customise the display more (make text smaller so radio station, song and artist all fit when in split screen)
Accelerator seems off to the right based on drivers seating position. |

I think active guard is standard on X3 now which I think only works under a certain speed? for collision mitigation |

Hate is a strong word. Most gripes of technical issues with how our X3s operate are due to ignorance. Reading the manual does wonders. Just saying. Quote:
16,000 miles so far and I am OK to say there's not a thing I "hate" but there is always room for improvement.

"Hate" is such a strong word well, I'm only in about 350 miles. I do have my encore with the genius this afternoon so that should help to learn more about the car.
What I don't like is the lack of seatbelt height adjustment (b-pillar) and the cheap, hollow plastic they used on the b-pillar going down. We have a 2018 CX-5 which cost half of what the X3 costs and in that particular aspect, it is superior. |

Hi, I have the semi digital display and not the full digital cockpit. If there is a way to put a digital speed on the comfort setting display, could you let me know how to do it many thanks if you can. The car does have the braking but only at low speed. It would of been nice for it to work at motorway speed. Pete |

On your latter point, IIRC it's a governmental requirement to default to ASS being on as of 2018 models. My 2014 X3 kept the previous setting, as well as my wife's 2017 Volvo. |

The brake dust from the M sport brakes. I feel like I need to clean my wheels every two days.

Try Meguire's Ceramic wax...works well keeping brake dust off the rims

So you would rather "hate" that ASS doesn't hold the last value set than change it...ok, makes sense lol
