I have the 19" wheels with the 245 runflats. I went with 15 mm spacers all around. Must agree with previous statement. Fitment is spot on.
I really like the results.
Best $ 100 ever spent on mods.

Nice, looks good! Pretty cool how much even just spacers improve the look of even the factory 19’s.

this guy basically steered (no pun intended) me away from wheel spacers...lol

they do make the car look more attractive, but the drawbacks not worth it imo.

I watched the video.

Nothing particularly scary or of huge benefit.

I'm doing it for the looks.

So since our cars aren’t still listed for spacer options on a lot of vendor sites, does anyone know why I simply can’t just buy spacers meant for an Audi or Mercedes? They would be the 5x112 with a center bore of 66.56. That’s the same as our cars are... so I can’t understand how/why they wouldn’t be a perfect fit.

Anyone??

I tried talking to h and r about this exact issue. When I was buying the spacers there was a set on sale on eBay that based in my research would work fine.

We were concerned that the wheel would not sit properly on the lip due to the radius of bend and the wheel center bore.

For liability / warranty purposes he couldn't recommend another spacer. In fact they hadn't even measured the g01 yet.

The agent also said that they have different part numbers to track sales .

I think that if you have other spacers sitting around you should just test fit them. If you are buying new we'll just order for g30 5 series and you are all set.

Thanks that makes sense. Although because I am also using an aftermarket set of wheels (OZ’s), the chamfer around that center bore lip might not matter anyway, since the hubcentic ring that I was supplied I think is fairly universal to 66.56 hubs anyway.... if that makes sense . The fronts currently stick out 3mm more than stock, and I was ideally going to use a 12.5mm spacer for a net of 15.5. The problem with the ECS ones I got is that there is a small chamfer on the extended hub of the spacer that sticks up more than I expected, so the hubcentric ring won’t slide all the way back against the flat face of the spacer. Since the ring itself is metal, I don’t want to try to grind/modify it down. What I need to find is a 12.5 spacer without a tall chamfer around the bottom of the extended hub part. I’ve seen some on eBay, but not sure I want to even try anyone other than H&R or ECS, Turner, etc.

Same here. I ran spacers on my old car without considering that it could cause issues, but this video has steered me away as well.

Hey guys, from you past spacer experience, how TIGHT should putting the spacer onto the hub be? Purchased some H&R spacers meant for Audi (A4, S4, etc). They have the same bolt pattern obviously and the hub bore is a 66.56. Noticed that putting them on, the fight going onto the current wheel hub lip is TIGHT... as in like grab a rubber mallet and tap it around in a circular fashion to get the spacer to seat against the rotor hat tight.

I was able to remove them, but had to use a screwdriver/chisel and a hammer going all the way around between the rotor hat and spacer for a while to remove them. It was certainly doable now... but should I be worried about it being even harder or next to impossible to remove in like 10K miles? I'll use some Loctitie N500 anti-seize on the hub... but should the spacer be THAT tight on the hub lip already?

EDIT: Just fyi I tried some ECS Spacers as well meant for the G30 chassis 5-series (2017+), but found that the hub of those spacers just slid right on with no effort... in fact felt slightly "loose", and I don't want any imbalanced wobbles/vibrations. But I think those spacers are done with a 66.6 bub instead.

THOUGHTS????

Thank you for the mention.
I'll look for his PM.

For previous posts answers:
- I only sell and use H&R or Eibach since they are German companies and made in Germany.
There are other cheaper brands either made in USA with unknown origin of material or pure made in China. It is your life, I personally would either do it right or don't do it at all.
- Wheel lug bolts torque wise, I believe BMW recommend 105lb/ft. With Spacer, I add extra 10lb/ft, which brings it to 115lb/ft.
Don't worry it is not as much as some noobs that work at the dealer and crank the crap out of the impact gun.
I have seen many cars serviced by reputable dealership, yet their lug bolts are overtorqued.

So I see you have a 15FR/12RR spacer setup on your ride...saw the pics and they look good

But - what do you think of doing 15mm in the Rears as well? I was trying to look at all the angles and it seems that there is still some room for 3mm more and it would still sit flush and not stick out.

Thoughts?

Hi all,

I'm looking for a 15mm spacers all around for a x3 30d with 20 inches wheel.

Can someone provide with the H&R part number please? I have no idea which one to go for....

or spacers from ECS would be totally fine as well

thank you
