Front Towing Eye?
Hello everyone.
I recently traded my 230i on a 2019 X3 and we love it so far. I'm planning on some "soft roading" in this car to get us to the secluded camp spots we love. Nothing extreme; I know this isn't a true off-roader, and I have an old Land Rover for that kind of driving anyway. But I want the ability to get myself unstuck if that ankle-deep puddle up ahead turns into a major mud bog. I use a Tirfor device for self-recovery, which requires front and rear recovery points on the vehicle. The integrated towing receiver will work great in the rear of the car, but I haven't found a place in front to install a towing eye, like all my old BMWs and Saabs always had. Am I just missing it? Thanks, Myron |

The tow eye fits in a location just to the left of the lower grille on the car. There is a small plate that covers the area. Look up in the manual under Bar For Tow-Start Towing and it shows you where the screw threads are located up front and in the rear.
