The mat sets do come with an extra mat that apparently is not usable in the 2019 models or at least in mine as the rear center armrest on mine only has cup holders and not a cubby.

Well....I'm VERY OCD. So it's been a 5 day journey of me stressing out over the proper settings. I FINALLY got them down to what I like though I installed an Amplifier and an Active Line-Out Converter to power my Subwoofer. Tuning them to get the right sound was pretty difficult. Especially to match a wide range of genres. Now I can play Jazz, R&B, hip-hop, classical and Techno chill tunes....and NOT have to keep adjusting my EQ every other song....lol. There are still some songs that don't play too well but that's fine. I can go from Dave Matthews Band's "Crash into me" to Khalid's "Better" and it sounds GREAT

2 Interesting things I discovered:

• When you tune the system you have to pick a specific volume-range that you listen to constantly. The sound really changes as you go lower or higher. Ideally you want the sound to get better as you go higher (or remain the same). For example - I constantly listen to music at the end of the "M" in "entertainment" that shows up when you adjust the volume and the bar shows.

• You also have to tune the music according to the "source" - Spotify, iTunes, USB key, DACC files, etc. I primarily listen to Spotify and I tired playing some higher bitrate tracks from Itunes - didn't sound as good, interestingly enough. So definitely TUNE using the "source" you listen to the most.

I'll be doing another Thread on just the setup, tuning and pointers to help anyone who wants to add a sub to their HK system in the X3

Yes, ditto, Amazon, check there first. At eBay has same items (including the center console bin, from same seller i believe, ship (free) from China, for more $ than from Amazon. If you are Prime member, then more the better with faster shipping.

I live chatted at length with BMW Genius who informed me that my forthcoming X3 Sport 20i was at a status of 5055 "Confirmed by Production Control" after having been ordered 15 days ago.He tells me delivery from South Africa is scheduled for 6th May 2019 still eight weeks to wait.

Is there any other avenue open to us in the UK to get progress apart from LIVE CHAT!!

On another issue I have specced up the 3AC towbar.

Are there any owners out there who could confirm that the fitted 13 pin socket is actually correctly wired to the approved european standard for braked trailer wiring and that the socket actually has metal connectors in positions 10 and 11 to allow supply and earth to the caravan refrigerator when towing the caravan.

Haha, IND gets me into trouble! As to what to get, all depends on what you are looking to accomplish. I swapped in all the blackout pieces they offer as well as the front and rear reflectors.

Can't directly answer this, but the previous generation X3 was wired for the european standard not the older version (which I think was UK). Pins are present in every position but I can't tell if they were wired or not.

The tech docs at the top of the page (sticky) might have more wiring info in them

Thankyou very sideways for taking the trouble to take a photo of the 13 pin socket much appreciated.
At least all of the 13 female sockets seem to be present .
I am awaiting my car in May and hopefully will have a towbar fitted with electrics for the ATC on my caravan and also supplies to power the fridge whilst towing both of which seem to have given previous owners innumerable headaches to sort out with BMW.

Nice! Looks like someone has been an avid reader of this forum and went shopping even before the new car arrived

Regarding the X3 OEM trunk mat - since the bottom is slick smooth it can slide around, I suggest you use some strong Velcro hook pieces to keep it in place. Enjoy the ride

+1, please post a photo of the light projectors. I've been wanting to get them but wasn't sure how they would look with the lighting that is already present.
